It’s definitely an odd move and I’m surprised Chelsea are seemingly open too it seeing as they can’t replace him. To strengthen a fierce rival whilst weakening yourselves doesn’t seem the best of ideas. Can only presume Lampard thinks Christensen/ Zouma are up to the task to partner Rudiger.
Hes not as mobile as he used to be (since aguero chopped him). The other thing to look out for is his fitness. He doesnt position himself at about 75 mins + when the teams in possession and hes out of position (he will walk) so if the team does lose the ball hes out of position. Saying that he will give his all and hes a great personality
Looks like a proper rebuild job. Realistically luiz has a year or 2 left and lampard wants the youngsters. Think its a mistake myself as you cant have just young players. The only thing is supposedly luiz wants first team football and lamps cant guarantee it so we are allowing a great servant to leave like some others before (cech, ivanovic etc). We have enough cover but like yourselves and foyth/walkers peters, its potential over actual experience We have zouma, christensen, rudiger (injured currently) and tamori who lamps had at derby last year
That’s unlikely, Bob. The bloke is far too big an ego for Lampard to try and handle and not worth it with what he offers on the pitch. It’s a great move to offload him.
You boys were worshipping tarrabt for one good season. Luiz has helped us win loads he would definitely have a statue
No one has a statue as of yet and we’ve had better players than him. If he came to us and won us the European Cup he can have one. None of which is really relevant to the point that he’s past his best and an unnecessary ego.
I’d love it if it happened, he’s a class above. Unfortunately, I think there’s too many issues involved. It’s doubtful that he actually wants to leave Juve. His wage demands have reportedly been too high, his agent supposedly wants €15 mill, and then there’s this third party image rights bollocks to resolve. Don’t see it happening. Although I’d love to be wrong.
If you were able to sign a replacement I’d understand selling him but neither Zouma, Christensen or Tomori are as good as him - yet. It’s a bold move, fair play to Lampard if it pays off but my initial thoughts are that it’s the wrong decision, especially as you’re essentially strengthening Arsenal in the process. As for us with KWP/ Foyth, I’ve been saying on our board I can see a last minute bid for Atal/ Hysaj. It looks like Aurier could re-join PSG (PLEEAAAASE!!!) so there may be some late movements on that. In fact I think I’m the only Spurs fan who hasn’t completely lost their **** this window with regards to signings and I’ve been predicting we’ll bring in at least three players. Sess and Lo Celso look like they’re nearly done, whilst Dybala would be ****ing huge but if we can’t get him I think we’ll try and get Fernandes. Plus the possibility of the new RB. Think/ hope it’ll be a busy yet good day for us.
