Put him on a diet and in a team that plays balls through and over the top for him and he'd be effective again imo.

Last season or the one before Joe Gomez came back built like a body builder klopp said, and told him such he's since trimmed down thee muscle in the wrong placesYeah true, he was a good player but is massive now, no need for it.

Barkley did the same with us in his last year or so, he was gassed after an hour. He lost that bulk last season and looked and played much better for it.Last season or the one before Joe Gomez came back built like a body builder klopp said, and told him such he's since trimmed down thee muscle in the wrong places
Yeh it was after the bulk loss Gomez got in the side properly and began the vvd partnership that went so well until his injury.Barkley did the same with us in his last year or so, he was gassed after an hour. He lost that bulk last season and looked and played much better for it.
We have a striker with the best scoring record against the Big 6 ... why would we want to bring in one with arguably the worst?
He'd fit in well at Spurs ... he very nearly reaches a full sprint, they very nearly win a trophy![]()

But of a bittersweet thing luiz going.
Because hes got stupid hair and drops so very bad clangers he gets unfairly maligned in the press when hes actually a pretty decent defender and an even better passer.
Hes much better defensively than when he first joined although still prone to diving in but hes also a really good leader.
20m seems good for someone who could have moved for free this summer (he only signed a new contract) and i really shudder to think what christensen and zouma will be like (not necessarily bad defenders but both arent leaders im my book). Think arsenal will do okay with him.
Also achieved a lot with us, one cl, 2 europys, a pl and 2 fa cups.
Good luck david
Luiz is though, and has been through his career a proper ball playing CB, who is very mobile and able to play the ball out of defence and link up with the MF. Something we've been lacking since Holding got injured. Some reports saying we're only paying £8m for him. If that's true that's a ****ing steal. I know he's prone to dropping the odd clanger, but we're used to that at ArsenalLuiz is though, and has been through his career a proper ball playing CB, who is very mobile and able to play the ball out of defence and link up with the MF. There's not a lot of love for this move from Arsenal fans generally. But I'd be well happy with Luiz for a year or two and then bring in Saliba next year. Our defence has lacked a leader for years, and Luiz would fit the bill perfectly.
Luiz spotted training on his own today waiting for his transfer.
