This should be 4 or 5-0. Hanley's had 3 or 4 free-headers at corners, Pukki missed a hatful, Drmic rounded the 'keeper, Buendia hit the post, Srbeny could have scored, 2 or 3 moments when there's been players queuing up in the box to hit one. Next week's training: finishing!
1-0 full time. It's a win, it's a clean sheet, and it's an utterly dominant second half with scintillating attacking play. +ives: No injuries, Buendia sparkled, Krul solid, full backs both very good, Hanley capable and dominant in the air. Attacking play as fluent as it was last season, regardless of personnel. Vrancic looked sharp, presume it's just overall fitness holding him back. Don't think he's far off. -ives: Pukki's finishing, and finishing in general. Felt Roberts was overplaying things when he came on.
The chances we keep missing is pretty worrying. Team played fantastic, so many players looked total class. No cutting edge.
I love to see Jamal going forward with the ball. He adds a lot of danger for the opposition when he does.
If it means something Pukki scores , ask Finland fans. Half arsed televised training match . Which we won BTW.
Last 2 games he has been a beast! He seem quicker as well! He looks as fast as the wingbacks now when he chases down players.
Overall positive after that, Pukki had a bit of a shocker but so did the rest in front of goal (Mayor excepted!), but hopefully as DD says, when it matters he'll strap on the shooting boots. I think the CB ratings are wrong or a little unfair. If last season proved anything them in possession of the shirt will keep it. I think Hanley has been every big good enough in preseason to warrant starting vs the scousers. He was comfortable defensively and never put a pass wrong today. Him and Godfrey in possession and to start fof me. Klose definitely looked no better in his last outing. Godfrey is danger of running away as undisputed first choice CB. The other 3 I still don't think there is too much to choose between. Hanley never really got another chance after our ropey start last year. Maybe he was a part of why we were ropey but I believe he is capable and won't let us down. Bah!
But scuffed and unconvincing. You cant say that that chance at the start of the 2nd half was anything other than butchered horribly. He failed to even get a shot off with the freedom of the 18 yard box. Bah!
Pretty much how I saw it. Overall, I thought the team played well and some really good performances from TC, Godfrey, Hanley and who can ignore our 2 young full backs?? A pretty accurate summary from PD - https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/canaries-toulouse-match-report-1-6197740
