The starting XI is something we could have fielded at any point last season. Fahrman, Byram, Roberts and Drmic all on the bench.
Hanley has played alot to see if he can make the grade as 4th choice and to get his fitness and confidence up. 1. ZIMMERS 2. GODFREE 3.KLOSE 4.HANLEY In my opinion
I think he's played a lot out of necessity! Klose and Zimbo have had injuries at various points, so Hanley has had to play. But yes, it's given Farke the chance to assess him. Presumably he's reasonably happy with what he's seen. I think most would agree with that order, it's just whether Farke takes styles into consideration when pairing CBs. Hanley/Zimbo are defensive, stopper CBs, whilst Klose and Godfrey are better on the deck. It's pretty common to play one of each type.
Absolutely, with everyone fit I think that should be first choice. But if Zimmerman is out, do you pair Godfrey with the more similar Klose, or look to maintain the physicality of the defence by including Hanley?
First impression is how deep Trybull is dropping in possession, almost the deepest player at times, forming a back 3 with the CBs splitting and the full-backs taking up positions well into the opposition half. Puts a lot of pressure on Hanley.
Trybull with an elementary error there, overcommitting to a ball he was never likely to win, and Toulouse are quickly running at our CBs.
Team from 60 mins: Fahrmann Aarons Hanley Godfrey Lewis Vrancic Leitner Buendia Stiepermann Hernandez Pukki
I think Drmic should get the last 25. Pukki has looked proper rusty. 5 or more great opportunities if Drmic can show greater sharpness in a cameo......oh just happening. We may have a shock first line up. Bah! P.s. please be ok Emi
