In answer to 344. Goodness knows I don't want to promote Liverpool or Spurs, but I must remind the poster that professional football used to be played before the Premier League existed, and generally it was a damn sight more competitive too. Liverpool and Spurs have both been English League Champions.
Well, in ancient history, Saints won the FA Cup and came second in the League. And if anyone suggests it's high time we won something else I wouldn't disagree. We are a tad too good at coming second.Who cares about pre prem?

Top draw player though. I'd be surprised if we ever have a defender of his quality again. It was a real treat watching him that first season. Men against boys.
