Before you leap all over my comment, gleefully attempting to correct me, I found it in the people's comment section of the articled link posted above: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49165976 Incidentally, I did answer the poster: In answer to 344. Goodness knows I don't want to promote Liverpool or Spurs, but I must remind the poster that professional football used to be played before the Premier League existed, and generally it was a damn sight more competitive too. Liverpool and Spurs have both been English League Champions.
Well, in ancient history, Saints won the FA Cup and came second in the League. And if anyone suggests it's high time we won something else I wouldn't disagree. We are a tad too good at coming second.
Another BBC article although we feature a bit more heavily in this one https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49057145
Makes you wonder how much he'd be worth if we sold him this summer? Probably a trip to Blackpool & 75m still!
If we’d loaned him to Liverpool and he’d won the Champions League I think we might ask a bit more now!
Top draw player though. I'd be surprised if we ever have a defender of his quality again. It was a real treat watching him that first season. Men against boys.
Man Utd just go from bad to worse. Maguire will probably crack under the pressure and become another Smalling/Phil Jones type player.
