Out twice Monday, nine holes Tues and Wed, might slip out later. The beauty of being a member and living close to my club.
Same. I like to get the first tee time and get 6 holes in before work. Played this morning. I'm finding it so frustrating at the moment though. I can't get it all together at once. I'd managed to get a short game together but had lost the plot off the tee. Now this morning after a bit of range work last week I was driving the ball well but couldn't hit my wedges properly. One thing I am pleased about is I've got used to my new putter and now have really got a lot better on the green than a few months ago.
Keep plugging away mate. I've spent about three weeks concentrating on my driving, I've tinkered with my feet position and also made sure my left shoulder is further forward than my right to stop slices to the right. I reckon I've cracked the driving, I'm probably hitting the fairway 80% of the time, and between 250-280 yards. Practising my irons now, trying to hit straighter and getting my percentages up for hitting it onto the green with 8,9 and wedges. It's paying off.
Right, I'm playing tomorrow morning, clearly I will win as I'm really good. This will be followed by lunch. Tomorrow night I'm in the hot tub with a couple of beers. Apologies if none of you are having this much fun
Managed to squeeze 9 holes in after work tonight....first time out for about 6 weeks. Was at the range working on a few things at the weekend which seemed to help massively with the big stick off the tee! 5 over par for the 9 holes which I’m chuffed to bits with, including a birdie on the 15th Nice to see that the club dealt with my request and put some lovely flower boxes on the tarts tee box for the next time you rock up dorts ;-)
