Tom Eaves has confirmed he is leaving Gillingham after the expiry of his contract.

The striker has scored 40 goals during his time at Priestfield in the past two seasons.

We must be in the hunt for him, surely?

He may well go Championship but if we aren’t in the running I’ll be gobsmacked.
 
I would prefer him over Wyke any day. Much more mobile and scored plenty for Gillingham. Similar to Marquis I reckon but if he's free then its a no brainer.

Rumour today he is going to a Championship club, although nothing official announced yet, the rumour has that club as Hull City. Despite me hoping he would stay, the player has now stated on twitter he is departing. So i expect more official detail soon.

Of course! Why would Eaves drop down a division and chose us over Hull?
 
On a free he would have been a no brainer, but like ive said before his stats arent great before 2017. Hed still be an improvement on Wyke though...
