Robbie, if you thought it was clear and obvious that the ball struck her arm then you had a better view than any of the cameras.

It genuinely looked to me that the tustling defender actually pulled Ellen's arm towards the ball!

The co-commentating "expert analyst" starts off uncertain but ends up correctly predicting that the goal will be disallowed. I think both she and the referee got it right. White's arm played a crucial part in manoeuvring the ball past the defender and making the shot possible. Without the intervention of her arm, the trajectory of the ball would have been rather different.

I prefer Dion Dublin's view that the goal should have stood <ok>

Bless him! Ask a retired striker for his opinion and all his career goals that would never have stood if VAR had been in use flash before his mind <laugh>

I can remember a classic goal when the ball hit Dion in the back and bounced into goal. When the off-side flag went up he smiled wryly - c'mon ref! He was well off-side unfortunately.

Howson playing as a right back for Middlesbrough, odd position for him.

Entertaining match to kick-start the new season.
Shame we didn't sign Britt Assombalonga - he could of missed one
of our penalties last season - just like everyone else did, so he'd of fitted in a treat! <ok> <laugh>

I think Howson's been playing right back for Miďdlesbrough in pre season got a feeling he started his career as a right back

I will be interested if POSH can put on a good show, unlike today, losing 3-1 at home to Fleetwood :emoticon-0101-sadsm
