I agree the weight of footballs over the years have not necessarily changed. It's the materials. The leather in the old balls were stiff and hard, whereas modern balls have so much cushioning to make them softer.

My Barney destroyed a football of my sons recently and I could not believe how much material they use inside the ball!

Never tire of seeing these clips. Not so much the match itself but the fact I was there, seeing history being made. Our SPURS being the FIRST club in that century to win the DOUBLE! We had traveled all over the country supporting them with absolutely no idea whatsoever how well the season would pan out. We just supported because we were fans, we loved our club and thats what you did!
Never dreamed we would win the league let alone the cup! My lasting memory of a great 'knees up' down Tottenham High Road after the pubs turned out has never left me. What a laugh everyone had, complete strangers dancing & hugging and no trouble at all.

Kevin Wimmer has been told not to bother joining the Stoke squad for their pre season tour. What a colossal fall from grace. Why is it that so many players' careers go completely off the rails after they leave us? Is the food in our cafeteria really that good?

He filled in very well for Vertonghen during his injury in during the 15/16 season, then got dropped immediately on his return.
Seemed to damage his confidence and I'm not sure he ever recovered.
Hopefully he'll get a move to a decent club and sort himself out.

Back-to-back relegations don't look good on a CV either

Roma bought and sold three keepers last season. Problems replacing that bird that they sold to Liverpool, apparently.

Clinton N'Jie scored in Cameroon's 3-2 loss to Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations

That's the Africa Cup of Nations. One of the football tournaments happening right now (like the Copa America and CONCACAF Gold Cup) which we're not suppsoed to care about because England aren't finding new ways to choke in a semi-final in either of them
