Jonathan Woodgate is apparently on the brink of becoming the new Boro manager. Interesting appointment, quite a big club going for a totally unknown option.
He's already worked there as a coach under Pulis, so they've had a chance to see how he works already, but it's still a surprising risk. I wonder how many matches he'll miss through injury?
Who remembers Brian Stathem from when he played for us ...... no not me , apparently he played 24 times over 5 yrs in the late 80s to early 90s Just read an online article where he said we should be prepared to pay up to 100 million for Maddison of Leicester click bait
Looks like DeAndre Yedlin has just learned the power of the Levy https://www.foxsports.com/soccer/st...n-youth-club-for-training-compensation-061319

Weird how his career’s panned out. I thought he looked quite promising at Spurs when he got his chances, somehow remember him playing really well against Stoke and thinking “he could go far here”. Lesson learned: I’m not a good judge of potential.
Not necessarily. Taarabt had endless potential, he just failed to do anything with it. It's one thing having the tools to do the job. It's another entirely to get up off your arse and do it.
You are not alone (Luongo and Pritchard for me for starters) . As far as THFC goes, none of the "prospects" that have been released in say the past 6 years have even risen to levels where they are in the ranks of PL top 6 rivals (and that is not due to us shipping them overseas to prevent it happening) . So 1-0 to THFC on all those players. 2-0, if at the very worst the financial cost of having those players was "zero sum" .
Would it be a good idea to return to a reserve league inn, maybe, midweek to give the benchwarmers and potentials a bit more experience/playing time?
