Red Bull chief Rangnick says that Sunderland are a potential investment opportunity in England.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but according to Roker Report, the Red Bull sports chief says that we would be the kind of club that they would be interested in should Red Bull be interested in expanding their football portfolio into England.

Sounds like speculative bollocks to me but it would be interesting if it was to happen.

Can't see why that'd be a problem when they already own two clubs, two or three what's the difference.
I don't know the details but the article suggested that it already was problem. I'm sure there would be a way round it. The Pozzo family own Watford, Udinese and someone in Spain so it wouldn't be a unique scenario.

Makes you wonder though. Red Bull own three football clubs, an ice hockey team, two (is it?) Formula 1 teams, sponsor the Red Bull air race and are involved in all of those other things. People must be drinking whole lake's worth of the bloody horrible stuff to bankroll all that.

Seems like more people drink Monster during the day but I reckon Red Bull has the nighttime drinks market tied up, when I worked in a bar it seemed like every other drink was vodka red bull.

Or those horrible Jaeger bombs. What's the point when there's scotch and tequila and Fuller's ESB?

This was rumoured, indeed they were genuinely interested, when Short took over.

Selling our souls to a degree but it would absolutely be magnificent for the future of the club.

RB don’t just buy and invest, they build clubs from the ground up. It would be an absolute wonder for us.
If they didn't try and rename us, which I don't think they can, but had Stadium naming rights and shirt sponsorship I think it would be an amazing deal. Would be even nicer if Stewie could stay on and try to keep the fan connection thing going. I can't really see it happening though.

Yeah, that's true. It was the same when I was doing bar work too. Which I've just realised is a frighteningly long time ago.

TBF, I can. I still think we have a massive upside and we have a good shot at promotion this season. If no-one comes in for the club, Stewie waits and gets paid off with promotion. If someone does he gets his dough a year early. Someone with nous and funds will cream it by buying us while we're down in L1.
