Worth putting a tenner on Benitez being their next manager. Advocat was 300-1 to be Sunderlands next manager after he 'retired'. He came back. Once any takeover is completed then there could be an outside chance of Benitez coming back with an Arab deal rather than being stuck with Ashleys deal.
Is their take over actually going ahead? Not heard anything about it for ages (a bit like ours I suppose).

Aye I don't think he did anything special with the players he had at his disposal. Supposedly he had them punching way above their weight but I dunno, they're a pretty good side on paper.
Allardyce would have done better.
