If Monday’s news that the Reds are happy to hold on to Simon Mignolet for the coming season - and indeed the next one, as that’s when his contract runs out - wasn’t exactly a surprise, what perhaps was is the idea that he seems happy to stay too
I actually think Maguire will do brilliantly for city. Dunno why anyone thinks he's not good in the ball, hes really good on it imo and calm (well dribbling it out, not seen enough of his passing). His weakness is hes a big lump and can be beaten by pace but in the pep side im not sure he will be that exposed (in the pl anyway) purely because: Teams dont attack as much Peps teams defend by outnumbering at the back (2 on 1s etc) Most importantly city are dirty and get physical and get away with it. Maguire is exceptionally strong and will get away with nudging the striker out the way since the refs love pep and city 80m for him though is a joke though
Does it go by the players birthday or a league cut off date like with u21s? Origi joined when he was 19 so may qualify if it's the u21 cut off dates
I agree he's not bad on the ball. I think he's too slow and not the greatest defender. Great in the air though
Yeah but thats just 2 matches a season, city who else has a dribbling speed merchant on each wing in other teams.
