Thanks mate, appreciate the advice. I'll have a think as to best approach and give them a buzz, don't mind paying but the prices can get a bit nuts

Aye, I was actually staggered at the ‘average spend’. Mine was always a fortune cos I always have the full whack but the spend per head is mental.

The broadband is £27 for top speed fibre now though, that’s a steal, cheapest 80mb in industry and it’s not an offer, it’s forever.

My Missus has the sky account in our hose as we moved (5 years ago) and I could either have moved my package and paid over the odds or she could get in as a new customer and got all sorts. Still pay more than that £50 odd you mentioned though!!

Can't get the superfast at my house cos of where we live - asked Sky and they said we would be basically paying more money for the same speed. BT said the same when I asked so that's a little disappointing but I remember waiting 14 minutes for 1 picture of a naked lass to download back on dial up so I suppose I can put up with it!!

I mean, the fact Sky have already named the Newcastle match as a live game makes your point a bit spazzy, but anyway....

We kick off a week later, when Newcastle are away, so we could be home or away. I want someone ****e so we can get a flyer.

FYI if anyone is a non-Sky customer and wants 57% off for 18 month inc sport, drop me a message <laugh>

i might take you up on that one if still available. i aun't bothered with sky or bt since moving back, but might give it a crack this season. is it just tv or does it also include internet and all that gubbins

Non-fibre is £20 inc line rental now mate but worth checking, very few folk can’t get fibre now, updates all the time.

Thanks Nads, will give a buzz and see what they can do for me. Am paying another company much more than that for interweb and phone at the moment so maybe with a package deal I can get the bill a bit more sensible over the piece. I only have one box and am not bothered about HD or superfast fibre so should be reasonable enough by the sounds of it.

Thanks again for the tips, will buzz them when I'm next off work and sort it.

Could you not cancel under your name and get the full package with a new deal in your partners name?

Apparently Sky have a "no service for x months" policy. They spot same address and same bank accounts
Fair play to them. That used to be the blag for salesman at Virgin Media to get new accounts signed up.

Back to the football.. Fixtures are announced at 9am in the morning, not bothered who we get first or last just being them all on.
Stop it man talking about football fixtures on a fixtures thread on a football forum! You'll get yourself banned....

(Agree with what you say mind - not bothered who we get - just bring 'em on)

I can’t say anything on this other than don’t believe everything you hear....

Same payment details may flag.
I'm not sure how that would be good business sense for Sky. If somebody genuinely breaks up with their husband/Wife, Sky would be off their chops to heap more misery on them by telling them to go to their competitors because they're refusing to let them sign up until so many months have passed.
