The thing “us fans” have to remember about the Belgian helmet is that he has zero ambition for Charlton. He has already stated that the league we are in has no bearing on his asking price. Far from expanding the budget in the Championship, he is hellbent via his bent lackey Turk in cutting back further. We will be the only club in the most competitive league in Europe without a CEO Football being football, the mood amongst fans will quickly turn next season if we go 6 games without a win. Bowyer must have this in the back of his mind. It makes my p1ss boil to see Seriously Getting Rogered keep asking why RD would risk more debt. HE IS THE OWNER, YOU UNAMBITIOUS HELMET.
On the “wages” mentioned, it’s obvious the plan is to get kid loans in from Premier league clubs, and get the parent club to pick up the wages. I can’t see us spending a nook.
Charlton midfielder Joe Aribo will fly out to Portugal and link up with the Rangers squad next week after agreeing a four year deal. Rangers will pay Charlton a £300,000 development fee for the out of contract player. https://www.instagram.com/p/Byw
Other than the money which will make him for life say £15,000 for 208 weeks @£3.12million plus bonuses... I hope he hasn't made a mistake.
Aribo will not be concerned regards the football. He'll have set himself up for life and will not have to get out of second gear on the pitch. He'll even be able to learn a new language to pass the time away.
I can’t help thinking that Aribo can do a lot better than 3 years of SPL football. No doubt his agent got a nice rake off. We will have lost our entire promotion winning midfield Aribo Cullen Bielik Williams FFS.
Taylor will be the biggie this summer. If a bid comes in for him, even from another Championship club, I’d say there is a 90% chance of him going.
According to Bexleyboy on ITTV Charlton will be signing Leyton Orient's Macauley Bonne this morning on a four year deal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macauley_Bonne According to Wiki, 23 year old Bonne is under contract with Orient until summer 2020, so presumably we are paying a fee for him. The fee is apparently £200,000. Bonne earned the right to step up one league (from 5th to 4th tier) when Orient were promoted. Now we are offering him the chance to step up another two leagues. The four year deal is interesting (if true).
Oh dear This is not encouraging. I still have 100% faith in Bowyer & Gallen’s ability to spot a player, but a lad playing non league football last season is going to have a huge step up to the Championship. I haven’t noticed much interest in Tarique Fosu yet
