What he would or wouldn’t do with city is not the point

I thought that was the whole point, I thought we were discussing managers that we thought would or wouldn’t have success with City. I don’t think Coleman would be a success at all, mainly because he’s never done anything with the club sides that he’s managed. I recall that a certain Mike Smith was touted as the next big thing when he arrived at City after managing the Welsh national side, that ended well.

No we were discussing you said he hadn’t achieved anything as a manager. I said what he did with wales was an achievement.
I agree with you he’d be a **** appointment but we could always just watch his Mrs

You say that but NA now has City on his CV and I don't believe it will do him any harm. He can rightfully claim to have done a good job in desperate circumstances.
Fair point. After failing at the Blunts and Reading, NA had probably more incentive to resurrect his credentials at City, which he did, without a shadow of a doubt.
Would others see taking over at City in such a positive light? Knowing what they know ie how Nigel has been left with little choice but to go.

He'll sell as soon as he can get what he thinks the club is worth so he can meet his desired ROI over his tenure.
The assets are dwindling (essentially quality appreciating player value). The running costs are significant. It's getting close to being a liability for the family.
Essentially they have missed the boat if further relegation takes place.
Biggest mistake was assuming he could get to buy the real estate assets cheap. Second significant error was to not invest more in player assets to maintain PL status.
Sums it up well

Agreed.

A somewhat histrionic showboating post completely missing the point of PUW's orginal post.

Fairweather fans and proper supporters are not the same thing as everyone knows.
My guess is Quill was referring to the following:

Phil West-Upper. said:
"In my eyes to be a City supporter you have to in the ground supporting the team"
What was PUW's point of this sentence in his original post ?
Asking for a friend.

What a crock of ****, trying pathetically to reinvent history. "PUW" or Billy Big Bollocks as I called him yesterday, basically said unless you paid your hard earned to attend matches you were not a proper fan/supporter and therefore your views were irrelevant.

Quill's post listing various circumstances supporters may find themselves, and I'm one of them, was spot on, right up to the last few words.

Coleman walked into a fairly similar situation at Sunderland. That ended well.

He also took over from Grayson. So its a no to both of them thanks.

My guess is pwu was referring to people who could go but choose not to

It doesn't matter what he was referring to, it isn't up to him what defines somebody as a supporter and to undermine anybody who doesn't fit his criteria is the workings of a top arsehole.

The clue in his post is "in my eyes" which means it's his opinion, surely you can't deny him that?

The sad fact is that his results at city are the worst as a manager and yet his stock has risen!

Sorry.

I got it all wrong and I'm not afraid hold my hands up:

It's PWU and not PUW.

Again, my apologies for confusing everyone.

I haven't denied him an opinion, as you can see, he's posted it. "It's my opinion" doesn't prevent somebody from critiquing it, it doesn't grant invincibility, that's what those dafties who say "if you have an opinion you're a racist" think like. If he doesn't want to be criticised for saying stupid things like that, he should keep his opinions to himself.
