It isn’t. It measured where his foot was. You see these things better when you are stood up.
VAR has been proved time and time again as utter bollocks. No system is infallible, leave it the incompetents on the pitch rather than waste time with the incompetents off it.
I'd go along with that, certain England didn't deserve anything from the game IMO, but how often have we seen the best side lose, so without the mistakes who knows what would have happened.
I don't understand how we have had this many decades with an inability to hold onto the ball !

“It was an incredible evening with all of the twists and turns of the match,” he said. “I think we have learned so much in terms of playing against a top-quality team that posed us different problems to what we have faced in the past.
“We posed a threat in the game but we have conceded really poor goals. We had opportunities to score but we haven’t taken them.

I guess this pressing style forces players into mistakes. Generally, in the past few years, I would say players have improved on the ball, maybe just an off night.
