...to this scandal. Admittedly it is only a tenuous connection but a ground closure and relegation seems an appropriate action to take. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/leeds-forward-samuel-saiz-former-16212317
Your name's not Roy Greenslade by any chance ? https://sabotagetimes.com/football/leeds-united-don-revie-and-a-40-year-old-slur
You won’t convince some of the conspiracy theorists though. Some of them believe in shape-shifting aliens. City Man will believe it despite no evidence ever coming to light and it all being hearsay.
I was living in Leeds at the time of the "rumours" - so was all over the papers, TV & radio. According to my mother, his wife taught me at primary school (in Hessle) while he played for City, so was always interested in his career.
Still waiting for the 1921 team pic showing us in white shirts that season. Oh, and while you're up in your loft, do you have that proof yet that we were only team allowed to play on Christmas Day? signed Mr Patient on the Web
I have never said we were the only team allowed to play on Christmas Day. Everyone played on Christmas Day at one time. LastChristmas Day game was in the early 1960s. Ourselves and Grimsby were given permission not to play home games on Christmas Day in the days when there was a full programme on that day if the trawlers needed unloading because of the importance of trawlers unloading for the food chain. Don’t think either team had reason to take advantage of it.
Presumably this site ignored you when you informed them they were wrong? http://historicalkits.co.uk/Hull_City/Hull_City.htm
Is that a way of saying you were wrong? I once put Gollum right on the subject of Christmas Day games when he had been spouting bollocks about it.
? So, did that site ignore you when you told them they were wrong? It has been there for years without alteration. Where did they get the info from?
Though that's a good site, they might well be wrong on that one, Les Motherby (who's most definitely our kit guru), states that in the 1921/22 season, the significant change for the season, was the switch to wearing white shorts with our amber and black striped shirts (rather than the black ones worn previously).
Why the **** would I waste my time going around correcting people on the web (as you call it)? Ask Kjell Hansen, the well known LFC expert from Scandinavia
A Leeds fan doesn't believe the match fixing allegations made against them, but does believe that an opposition team benefited from it against them. Fancy that.
