And they also drive on the correct side of the road :)
Saves you from looking right, left, right, left, right....and still having to leap out of the way. Apart from Italy where you look right, left, right, left, right....and up...because the bastards will get you from every direction. :)

Lol when I visit my daughter in Atlanta she says you will never get run over in Georgia as they are too worried about getting sued. I have watched her park her car, look at her phone to text and walk across the car park to Walmart and cars just stop. I did remind her when she was here that the UK is a bit different lol.

There was something very special about the old Dell, many on here have had great times there and shed tears there, everything about it was pretty antiquated, but I loved it. Even Fratton Park was impressive compared to the Dell?
Anyone remember '*** ash Lil' who served tea from the biggest tea pot I've ever seen in one of the refreshment sheds under the West stand? She always had a *** in her mouth and the ash regularly dropped off all over the place as it gradually burnt down. It certainly didn't make the tea taste any worse?
Don’t quite remember her but I do the big metal tea pot. Yeah just great mems.

Tbf to Europeans...their consideration to pedestrians is a lot better than it was...presumably there have been crackdowns on killing tourists :)
Speedy cyclists in Amsterdam a hazard for the unwary visitor. I've had a few tourists step out in front of me here in the Hague, ringing my loud bell infuriates some. There's some odd sods about, every nationality has their share.

Crossing the road in Amsterdam is a nightmare! You have to negotiate the cycle lane, the traffic lane, and the tram lane, and then the whole thing in reverse. I always forgot about cyclists, and was very grateful to those who rang their bells!

Lots more to the Netherlands than the Dam fun that it is. We're having lunch before a stroll around the Japanese Gardens near the Hague
