Hopefully Arsenal go out tonight. Not bothered about Chelsea. Valencia already 1-0 up against Arsenal.
^^This^^ Happy that the Bin Dippers and the cockney also-rans weaseled their way through this week. Chelsea are the very living embodiment of the exclamation 'meh', so I can't get excited one way or another. Arsenal however are filth. Scum. Vermin. They cannot and should not be tolerated.
Arsenal strolled comfortably in the end, fair play to them. Nah, they're ****ing twats, **** off you absolute thundercunts Chelsea vs Frankfurt has been pretty tense, going into extra time now. Honestly, Frankfurt look more likely, been the better side for me.
I was going to put my house on it based on your expertise. Fortunately I couldn't get logged in so won't be sleeping in a tent.
Frankfurt have had it cleared off the line twice, Chelsea looking dodgy as **** at the back. Hope it goes to penalties at this point.
Love that side stand at the Mestala. To think, some of our fans think the West Stand is high and steep. Know an Arsenal fan who spends a lot of time in Valencia since he had to pack up work after a heart attack and his daughter lives there. Says it is a great stadium for atmosphere. No roof either.
Actually, it is crumbling. They started building a new 65,000 capacity stadium, picture below. That is as far as they got because of funding problems and it has remained like that since 2009.The bloke I know who spends a lot of time there said you wouldn't believe some of the stuff that goes on there. They spent hundreds of millions on a new airport and it turned out the only people who had used it were the Valencia football team and local officials. Haven't seen him for a while to get an update. please log in to view this image
Fair enough, looks can be deceiving I suppose. There does seem to be a lot of stadiums in Spain without roofs, but I suppose they have the weather for it.
Some areas got more rain than we do. Most of our stadiums didn't have a roof until after the war. Valencia/Barcelona region tends to have dry spells with short but torrential downpours. Got caught in one in Lloret in an August years ago and never been in one like it. A dried up river bed was like a raging torrent. An hour later and it was bright blue skies. Wouldn't have liked to have been in a roofless football stadium during it.
Chelsea have done it. We've actually got two all-English finals. Madness. First time a nation has ever done it.
