Seems to be pretty pointless defending him in this case. Some have already made their mind up it seems!

Funny that these strong opinions are probably based on what the barman at the local pub told them! Not that you should take my word for it as I am a complete stranger online, and for all you know am making it all up!

All I will say is fans don't know half of what went on and Lallana genuinely cares about Saints; well at least he did. Might have changed now that some fans treat him like the devil.

Why don’t you tell us half of what went on then... we might change our view.

Very good haha.

As I said before, it seems a fair few people have their minds made up already!

Im not saying he is completely innocent and that he conducted himself perfectly. I just think the level of hatred from some is ridiculous and unwarranted.

Also probably worth pointing out he was told he would be leaving Southampton long before the summer. Deal was pretty much agreed between agent and both clubs months before he left. The issue was Saints going back on the deal and changing their minds - presumably because of other players wanting out. Hence why he was a bit pissed off.

We’re football fans, that’s what we do.... until given other info to digest (still nothing really forth coming)

Is that all the club did wrong? This doesn’t change what pissed me off.... approx 6 months after signing his new deal and “snapping our hands off” to stay here, he wanted out.

Your choice of words is interesting... “He was told he would be leaving.....” making it sound like Saints wanted to ship him out rather than the agent and Lallana wanting a move to Liverpool and so they had the two clubs speak. Seems you’ve made up your mind too :)

Edit: actually, if he was told long before the summer, then he must have sought that move just after the ink on his contract had dried.
