A man accused of filming a burning model of Grenfell Tower and sharing the video on WhatsApp has pleaded not guilty to two charges.
Paul Bussetti, 46, of South Norwood in southeast London, has appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court after allegedly sending the "grossly offensive" clip to a group on the messaging app last year.
The second charge alleges he was also responsible for the footage of "menacing character" ending up on YouTube, which caused it to circulate online.

In the clip, a cardboard model of Grenfell Tower was seen being burnt at a bonfire party in southeast London.
After it emerged online, sparking outrage, police arrested six men, with a seventh interviewed under caution.
Bussetti is accused of first sending it on WhatsApp on 3 November - some 16 months after the blaze at the block of flats killed 72 people on 14 June 2017.
He appeared in court dressed in a dark grey suit to contest both charges under the Communications Act 2003, speaking only to confirm his details and enter his pleas.
He was released on unconditional bail to go on trial at the same court on 29 July.

Tbh my father in law was watching some police programme on TV and some dumb bitch off her tits on booze had to be calmed down for what seemed hours (think she was being disruptive when some place wouldn't serve her) by like 5 police people. What a waste of ****ing resource

From which we can conclude that most Change Party supporters (I’m not one) have jobs, and they don’t skip off from work.

Meanwhile the Labour Party has been telling anyone who will listen that Jeremy Corbyn does not support the ‘outdated and offensive’ elements of a book, first published in 1902 by a left wing economist, that he wrote an enthusiastic foreword for in 2011. He specifically praised the ‘commercial analysis’ contained in the book, which was all about how Jewish bankers run the world, and the support of the Rothschilds being needed for any war to happen. The left wing at the time the book was published denounced these opinions, but apparently times have changed.

Jeremy Corbyn has not commented himself yet. Of course he is now firmly against anti semitism, and always has been. Shame the Ministry of Truth, efficiently re writing history, doesn’t actually exist Jezza.

The media has ruthlessly exploited this issue to bash Labour. But it’s obvious Labour has a huge and real problem, and it starts at the top.

Of course this is 100% right, but Corbynites are in denial

Gavin Williamson, a totally useless and nasty piece of work, sacked for leaking from the National Security Council. Good. A stupid loose cannon is even worse than a loose cannon.

Met Police said a man had been arrested in Newham in relation to the dossier of evidence handed to them.

A fourth man has been arrested in connection with a dossier of alleged anti-Semitic offences by members of the Labour Party.
The 44-year-old man was arrested in Newham on Wednesday and is in police custody.
An investigation was launched into alleged anti-Semitism among party members in November after a dossier of evidence was handed to Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick.
A Met Police spokesman said: “We can confirm police have arrested a fourth man, aged 44, on Wednesday, 1 May, on suspicion of an offence contrary to Section 19 Public Order Act 1986 – publishing or distributing material likely to stir up racial hatred.
“A warrant was executed at an address in Newham. The man is currently in police custody.”
Three others were arrested in March on suspicion of publishing or distributing material likely to stir up racial hatred.
They were a man in his 50s, arrested in Birmingham on March 7, a second man in his 50s held in Tunbridge Wells on March 14 and a woman in her 70s in Wandsworth, south London, on March 21. All three have been released pending further inquiries.
The investigation was prompted by an internal Labour dossier detailing anti-Semitic messages on social media allegedly posted by Labour Party members, which was obtained by LBC radio.
Reports at the time suggested the documents included details of 45 cases, including one which allegedly read: “We shall rid the Jews who are a cancer on us all.”
It is understood that disciplinary action was taken by Labour against the three individuals believed to be under investigation, and they are no longer party members.
A party spokesman said Labour was committed to challenging anti-Semitism.
He said: “We welcome the police investigating these individuals’ alleged crimes.
“Anti-Semitism has no place in our society and we are committed to challenging and campaigning against it in all its forms.”

and send his family the bill for the bullet
Let’s hope his constituency demand his resignation as an MP. Just read May’s letter sacking him. Damning.

There is to be a by-election in Peterborough after 19,261 people signed a recall petition to remove the city's disgraced MP Fiona Onasanya.
Ms Onasanya, 35, was jailed in January, and released the following month, after lying about a speeding offence.
She was expelled by Labour after her conviction and had been representing Peterborough as an independent.
A 10% threshold was required to remove Ms Onasanya, who will be allowed to stand in the by-election.
According to a spokeswoman for Peterborough City Council, the number of people who signed the petition amounted to 27.6% of eligible residents

The Brexit Party will be contesting the by election, but Farage himself doesn’t have the bottle, despite Peterborough voting 60% leave in 2016, Labour being discredited there and the Tories in free fall . Presumably he’s worked out he gets more money as an MEP than he would as an MP. Plus he might have to turn up and do some work as an MP.

Why didn’t May get rid of Grayling as well as Williamson in a two for one deal? £83m wasted on pointless Brexit ferry contracts to date.

It’s good to get rid of Williamson, but an added bonus is getting Rory Stewart into the cabinet, a man who may actually be competent. He turned up on the Peston programme last night wearing a new model electronic tag on his ankle, because he wanted to test its tracking accuracy. He takes his job seriously. Hopefully someone else will continue tidying up the mess in prisons left by Truss and Grayling. I’m sure he will be more effective in International Development than Mordaunt and Patel who’s aim was to turn it into an adjunct of international trade and spend as little as possible.

He'd have been even smarter just checking the tracking on Fiona Onasanya...

Moving to Peterborough?

Do you have local elections round your way today? I had forgotten that we do, but the polling cards for the fiasco of the EU Parliament elections arrived today, handily reminding me. I feel compelled to go to the polling station, but have no idea where I will put my X. Certainly not against Tory or Labour. And the Lib Dem’s are just pathetic.
