he looked a great player 2 years before. the year he left he was poor imo and it's proved to not just be him wanting out.pp

Pens we can cope. I’m talking about free kicks. I miss us scoring from 25 or 30 yards.

    for me....

fabinho has a very strong record.
salah record is messiesque.. by that I mean hit and miss. blasting it isn't really what is want tbh.
I'm sure taa took pens in youths but that's u18s.
    Wilson took most in u23s.

look taking pens is a practice thing. you want the cool head and the ego needs to be parked and you do your practice and can go either side...

when Gerrard started it he was average at best. by his final years he was lethal as it had become second nature.

there's a bit of ego in it right now. I think salah has overstepped at this point.

We at least have got Henderson to get the **** away. that lad can strike a ball but he's ****ing awful at any pressure situation and blazes most things.

Wilson can take a free. taa can take one... vvd has not struck a thunderbolt yet.

I have to wonder if we don't focus too much on the cross.

I don't think klopp really focuses on it tbh. bit more variation would be good.

Trent is good on freekicks. The Ox is good with corners. I think our problem is we are predictable with freekicks.

Having said that, we are well ahead on set-piece goals this season although I believe that includes additional phases of play.

When you have vvd it's very tempting to just cross all the time.

Fabinho and Lovren (not matip) then add a lot in the air.

I would agree it's generally predictable for keepers and defences.

There's no roll the ball for a shot option, not really a left and foot option cos salah fancies himself but doesn't back it up and taa doesn't demand it enough.

Just a bit of variation would be good

I didn't even mean who the target was. I meant whether we are going to shoot or cross. The run over the ball drives me mad too, the first player NEVER takes it, always the second.

But going back to the target, that's always VVD at the back stick. Virg always wins it too though

True. It's patently obvious we choose taker by side of goal free is on.

Sides imo are even setting up wall with the short arses on the side ball will go over.

We never strike under wall for a laugh or as you said salah hit it rather than step over etc

Messi didn't play the first 45 tonight, its common for Barca to use him like this. It took him 15 minutes to score in the 2nd half.

Took him 15 minutes to score. Bloody useless, I hope they drop him for the game against us he will clearly never make it in the professional game and the club should dump him. Preferably before next Tuesday.

Liverpool have rejected approaches from a number of Premier League and oversea’s clubs for academy star Rhian Brewster, according to Football Insider.

The reputable football news outlet claim that the club have knocked back interest with the view to promote Brewster, 19, to the first team squad next season.

Jurgen Klopp is rumoured to admire the English forward and would like to use him as back up for his prolific front three in seasons to come at Anfield.

Brewster scored 20 goals in 23 appearances for England Under-17s and has recently returned from almost a year out after suffering serious ankle and knee injuries.
