I quite liked him when he took over from the God awful Ingram.
But I really don't think he's good enough .
Poor distribution and really panicks at times.
That 2nd goal belonged in the circus, first with the wild swipe at the ball and then managing to dive over a soft shot.

I'm sure we'll have him next season and he's a young player so I sincerely hope he proves me wrong.

Ah yes, the second goal. I'd erased that from my memory.

I misread, or misunderstood. To the end of the season, fine, who gives a ****. Long term?
I mean I think he's done well so far and think he should be seriously considered as our Manager, at the end of this season, for next season. No point hiring someone till then anyway, better candidates may become available in May, but if we have someone doing a good job in place, and Eustace will take it on longer, it would be another act of stupidity not to let him try and keep it going into next season. Long term, no, but for a season, not sure anyone would take a much shorter contract than that.

What was Eustace's job under mcclaren
Can that be used for or against him in deciding on his qualities going forward
I personally don't want him
We need a new broom for the six months the new manager gets

Agree Wells seems to be off form and looked a bit slow at times.
I think we can all agree that the team is below average and there is not much quality. I really do fear for us next season. This is when we need someone like Hollow who will get every last breath out of players. I hope this FFP crap doesn't last long as we need to fresh faces.

You mean longer than the 10 years it is already going to last?

Someone tell me how long this FFP nonsense is going to last? If we sell all our better or expensive players are then allow to buy someone in ten years time? Or what the hell it is?

I think if we spend 50p we might be ****ed again. I don't think even with player sales we'll have the revenue to spend anything significant on new recruits. It's going to be an interesting summer.

Opportunity

It's an opportunity for a new manager to come in and make his mark
It's an opportunity for players to come and go - and those that come in and stay, a chance for them to play for a team that let's be honest, is not expected to run away with the league.

For every negative there should be a positive. I just want the new person coming in to be given a set time period of 3 years to get the club into a better position than it currently is

The owners should risk it all and spend big to buy promotion.
They dont necessarily have to spend big mate. The top 3 at the moment have spent wisely and used the loan and free market very effectively. Granted Leeds spent big on Bamford but they've got some good loans in and the youth are good. Norwich have spent very little. God knows what our scouting network do?

Like Fulham ?
Championship for me it’s where we belong in reality. The club needs to re establish some sort of identity first imo
To get a team up now then you need £200m and buy into s brave approach you will never get that with a U.K. manager imo

I state again young European players couple of solid old pros and a French approach would work imo

The top 3 at present havent needed 200m. Just a shrewd owner, good manager and good scouting and talent sporting network.

Agree Bob 100% but we haven’t got those
In order for us to do it we would need to buy in these services ie a very strong squad but first a very strong head coach who builds the team

That is the formula and currently looks to be around 200m to buy a squad of players that could piss the championship before holding down a team that shouldn’t get relegated straight away

This coming from a club that tried that once and was the first to fail and then pay the price

If the club thinks that warren farm etc is the answer then that means 10 years of building from now to produce the right calibre of player

I don’t have that much faith nowadays until the image of the club is restored

You need the massive injection of cash which can no longer happen ? Just to compete with the teams who are relegated. Cardiff and Fulham will already be the favourites to go back up imo plus add to that the strong top of the league we are going nowhere at the moment

We haven’t got one player who could play in the premiership not one

Sadly a state of the art training facility at Warren Farm still requires great coaches to produce real talent, so don’t get your hopes up about a ten year plan.
