Until the full facts are known I suggest the WUM's keep their comments to themselves.

Evidently you don't have ANY of the facts.
No Cardiff employee was involved in making those travel arrangements. Cardiff offered to fly him on a commercial flight through Paris. His agents father made private flight arrangements.

As said elsewhere, once the full facts are established, comments can be made.

Aren't you trying to get out of it on the basis that he wasn't yet PL registered? So in other words your owners wanted all the mourning etc. but doesn't want to pay up because he died, as if he hadn't, you obviously would be.

    Poor form imo.

The fact is cardiff announced and paraded the player as signed. They owned sala and if they allowed anyone else to make arrangements for their £15m player then that is the fault of Cardiff....

As usual, signed subject to international clearance.
The FA has now said there were invalid clauses in the contract inserted by the Nantes agent and a new contract had to be signed before the signing would be ratified.
Cardiff (Tan / Choo) has always says it will do the right thing once the facts are fully understood. That process is ongoing.
More and more irregularities are being unearthed.
Nantes agent was being supported by his father who is not registered as an agent, having been struck off for irregularities, including his company going into liquidation. The father, arranged a commercial flight with a pilot not licenced to undertake commercial flights, a pilot who was in debt and about to be served a CCJ (not his first).
So, where does that leave us?
With a lot of irregularities and loose ends to be tied up before commercials are concluded.
Oh, and a dead footballer and a missing pilot, the most unfortunate and sad part of it all.
Not sure how the travel arrangements being made by a 3rd party are Cardiff's fault Dai. Do Swansea arrange every piece of travel for all of their players or do they leave it up to the players? Cardiff offered to fly Sala to Cardiff on a commercial flight. Sala declined the offer. What do you do? Force him? They may (or may not) have owned his contract, but they didn't own him. He was an adult and could and did make his own decision. A wrong and fatal decision as it turns out.

Kept quiet on this thread for a while and let brb delete a lot of **** posts himself without prompting.

Comments made by visiting posters feigning outrage on a rival football forum are two a penny. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, the problem is that most visitors just use the superficial bits of a story they need to create an argument.

In principle and emotionally, Sala was a Cardiff player as soon as he agreed to join and signed what he thought were definitive contract forms and some would argue that should have been enough.

In reality, nothing has been completed and binding until official ratification is received from the various fotballing authorities. Any irregularities identified by them would need to have been rectified before the agreed contractual obligations came into force - they weren't.

Apparently there were errors on both sides that rendered his registration as incomplete and therefore void at the time of his tragic death. The inevitable finger pointing has started and this has now become a legal matter for the lawyers and insurers to sort out - nothing to do with sentiment.

The emotional attachment to Sala displayed by CCFC fans in particular was very real and no amount of bullshit from these wums can erode that - unfortunately insurers don't pay out on emotion and it's out of our hands.

CCFC fans on this forum are fair game for the visiting wums and oportunists alike - Dai, take a bow. <ok>

It makes no difference to whether the player was actually purchased lock stock and barrel or not.

What do you expect the fans to do? Have a whip round? If the money is LEGALLY due then the club as a business will be bound to pay but until it’s been established by an independent court/tribunal or by commercial agreement the money is due then nobody should be accusing anyone of anything.

All I did was ask a question which it appears no one wanted to answer and put my thoughts across based on that.

Just because it's an uncomfortable subject for the club it doesn't mean you shouldn't discuss it.

I'd be utterly embarrassed if it was Saints.

If Cardiff City legally have to pay then we will go to our insurers and pay.

If Nantes are legally obliged they go to their insurers.

Its not great this is being played out in the press and id rather have not got involved with internet trolls.

However when those are from football clubs who have ripped off creditors and gone into administration then its hard not to reply.

Yeah id be embarrassed to be a Saints fan.

Like others whove gone down that route they should have gone to the bottom of the football ladder.

Went into administration, made deal with creditors, paid off arranged debt.

........and then there's Cardiff. Bought player, arranged cheap ass flight, then denied all knowledge and responsibility when things went bad.

But, if we are getting to petty mud slinging, then I bid you farewell.
