    No, YOU do YOUR homework.

I don't need to do revision as I have been following the story since before Sala was 'signed'. Watched him play on TV while we were scouting him. Nante's agents father has admitted to making up stories, including about West Ham and Everton being interested in Sala to whet Cardiff's interest.

When you've done your homework, please feel free to pop along and have a sensible debate, otherwise, back under your rock!

    Here, let me help you....

Oh, and as pointed out, NO Cardiff did not arrange a 'cheap ass flight', as previously stated, Cardiff offered to provide a commercial flight via Paris, Nantes agents father (yes, Nantes NOT Cardiff) arranged a cheap assed flight (paid for, therefore commercial) with a pilot not licenced for commercial flights. He has gone on record to say he paid for the flight. Nothing at all to do with Cardiff.

If your going to be a WUM, at least have a semblance of fact to your story.

Your ****-stirring question has been answered a number of times. It is a matter of contract approval by the relevant bodies. The fact that the response does not fit your little prejudices is a matter for you. It is, indeed, an uncomfortable subject all round. But it is a matter of law with emotive issues alongside. But your buddy is also wrong in the question of who organised the transport. CCFC identified and offered a flight option which was refused because a cheaper and more convenient option was identified. This is well documented. Ownership is, however, a completely different matter. That is between CCFC and Nantes.....and whoever owned him at death will wish to claim on any insurance they may have. The insurance companies will all go to great lengths to avoid liability and THEY will drive this process. They will hunt for all sorts of bodies who might be involved and potentially liable, as long as it is not them. Clubs and families will simple have to sit it out.

You boys seem to have a narrative that you are terrified of deviating from, so its probably best that we beat a retreat. But by pretending that Willie McKay & his son were not involved in the deal, and the transportation of the player on that dreadful night, its seems to me you are setting yourselves up for a big fall.
There's no winners in this, but there may well be more losers.

Bye then. If you check your facts and find that you are wrong, then feel free to come back and apologise. If not..... feel free to continue your losing streak, on and off the field. And there's no need to 'stick to a narrative' when that narrative is the truth.

Nobody is denying McKay and his son were involved in the deal. They were instrumental in it. You can see that in the link I posted. What you obviously do not grasp is that the McKays were acting on behalf of Nantes, which is well documented if you can be bothered to read it. But hey, why leave the facts get in the way of your delusional world.

    Sorry Hilts, couldn't help myself.

    ------------------------------

Jack McKay was a employee of Cardiff at the time. Did he work for Nantes as well? <doh>

    CORRECTIONS

Went into administration = forced into administration
made deal with creditors = administrators paid 5p per £1 to creditors
paid off arranged debt. = Paid off a tiny percentage (something is better than nothing for the bank)
    ........and then there's Cardiff.
Bought player = Tried to buy a player - no cash exchanged at this point
arranged cheap ass flight = Tried to get Sala to take a commercial flight (safety reasons)
then denied all knowledge and = Denied knowledge of what ?
responsibility when things went bad. = had no responsibility as we didn't have ownership at this point
But, if we are getting to petty mud slinging = We're not .....YOU ARE
then I bid you farewell. = homework to finish THEN HIDING UNDER DUVET

OK, let me take this slowly.

Jack McKay is a 22 year old footballer (currently on loan at Chesterfield). He is not an agent.

Mark McKay is a football agent. Willie McKay WAS a football agent. He is no longer. His company went into liquidation.

Mark McKay's company was employed by Nantes to sell their prize asset. Willie McKay (illegally as it transpires) helped his son, Mark, in touting Sala around the premier league to make a million or two.

Now, which other bit of info about the McKay family would you like.

Yes, Jack is an U23 player with Cardiff. No, he was not acting on Cardiff's behalf as an agent looking to buy a striker. His brother, Mark, was acting on Nantes behalf.

Let me see, how does it go?.....<doh>

    What a bloody joke!!!

A third party supporter of another club claims he is more informed than us. Go and get a life somewhere else. Preferably on another planet

Southampton FC ripped off their creditors and their former captain and star player tries to rip off the bookies.

    Someones an embarrassment.

don't know about belching, but there's been a bit of bile on here from certain quarters.

Its gone quiet though. Not sure if he's doing his homework or if its past his bed time.

    No biggie either way.

The interesting bit about Cardiff not paying Nantes, is that McKays fee comes from Nantes. (Don't know if I mentioned, but the McKays were working for Nantes. Some people have trouble with that concept.) If Cardiff don't pay Nantes, McKays senior and junior don't get paid. We saw the behaviour with Malky (the secret McKay, so secret he spells his surname differently) when Tan gets the bit between his teeth.

I can imagine at some point that Nantes, and Bordeaux, who will get half the transfer fee (I wonder if the encyclopaedia who is not of this board understands that subtlety as well - the McKays weren't working for Bordeaux though. Did I mention they were working for Nantes as agents - though not as players for Cardiff's U23s), but in such a way that the McKays, who weren't working for Bordeaux as is often thought in error, but for Nantes, don't get their wedge.

So, Malky, Vincent, Mark and Willie were not playing for the U23's? Intriguing!

not only that, but they didn't fly on plane chartered by Cardiff to any of the games they didn't play in against Bordeaux.

    **** stirring <rofl>

Nothing about prejudices, if he hadn't of died you would have been happy to pay, simple as that. You're right that you have to let the process play out but that doesn't mean you can't have your thoughts on it in the meantime.

Even if you're legally in the clear it doesn't mean that you (or others) can't pass moral judgement in the mean time. If he was alive then there's no way you would try getting out of it on a technicality, it just seems pretty ****ty to me.

In general it's a huge shame that it's all being played out so publicly imo, it'd be nice if both clubs agreed to take a bit of a hit but expect this is going right to wire.

Fwiw I make you right about you not arranging the flight though it all has more than a whiff of dodginess about it (not implying you lot there).
