That certainly played a part. It was a strange choice. Arsenal would have looked after him and appreciated him more, but who's to say that would have turned out different. You have to believe in yourself, but you have to be very careful when options open up. I don't think Lallana will be particularly happy when he looks back on his career. But he'll also have a shed load of money to console himself with.
Don’t disagree with you but think your later points should be reversed. Nowadays, 99.9% think £ package first. Shame but that’s just the way it is. SFC gave Morgan, Lallana et al (1st & 2nd names used very deliberately) their opportunity; they chose the (£) route. Me? Can’t blame any of them; some deserve credit more than others. Just a sad inditement of footballers today
If Jame's form continues, then we'll be in an interesting situation in the summer. Can anyone imagine him making a fuss if a big offer drops? I can't, but this is modern day football we're talking about.
Met my customer this week who married into his family... he said he’s heard nothing like that... ... yet.
I don't reckon other teams hold him in such high regard as us fans do. He'd get a sideways move at best.
Oh I see. Like I said I don't think any of the top 6 would be even remotely interested at the moment. Can't see that he would earn much more elsewhere either.
