It's boring and repetitive but just mention Hamas, Hezbollah, IRA, Venezuela, Cuba, Russia and sticking to his principles, I think he is a twat, oh and Chuka Umunna who didn't deserve his treatment.

Your opening line is again an opinion. An untested opinion cannot be a fact.

The lack of a visa. Unless you are referring to entry via the Republic. Then data sharing. Entering the UK is not the same as staying here. Visas are forms of more control. No visa no work and national insurance number etc ..

You are under the impression that suddenly the UK will be inundated by the migration of millions of EU passport holders intending to live in this Country ilIegally . You have been asked why several times, and failed to articulate those why's.

You will probably continue down the path of disagreeing … Can you provide empirical data to support your claims?

The border is open. EU nationals can fly to Ireland. Are you telling me that the point is invalid because it hasn't happened?

Maybe they will hit some invisible wall as they reach the border. Maybe they will be forced back by your 'unspecified technology'. Who knows.

No I'm not. You are twisting my words, not for the first time. At no point have I said we will be inundated by EU nationals. In fact, that's actually what your leave campaign was incorrectly doing regarding Turkey. All I've described is that there would be no barriers to them doing so, which you know.

Will millions come over? No of course not. Will more reach the country illegally than at the moment? Absolutely. It's just a question of how many.

You guys voted to take back control of your borders and instead opened up our only land border even more. Well played. At least most Brexiteers accept this is the case, and decide it's a price worth paying.

I and others have asked you explain why and you cannot./will not You cannot provide specifics. You cannot apply a analytical argument to your facts. A untested opinion cannot be a fact.

I did not answer the rest there as you are again attributing something to myself I have not claimed …

I am not twisting your words. You are failing to answer sensible questions with specific answers backed by facts.

You have not explained why illegal migration to the UK will increase post Brexit. Why will this occur? Can you point to any empirical evidence that a visa system increases illegal immigration?

At this point the UK has control of immigration from outside of the EU. That is a control. These controls stem (not eradicate) illegal immigration. Take away those controls? Illegal immigration would increase.

There is no evidence. I cannot back it up with fact because it hasn't happened. But it's like saying, 'why don't we offer free citizenship to everyone from Syria'. I can't prove that people would come, but we all know it would happen.

An easy way to test it is to turn it the other way around. On Brexit day, every EU citizen who could previously live here legally and now cannot, has the ability to walk freely into our country. Do you really think that not one of them is going to take advantage of that open border should they be desperate enough to move here?

    Yes. There already are.

In regards to a hard border the DUP and Sammy Wilson have an interesting view … "I don't know whose going to build it, maybe Donald Trump ..!"

when you come back into this country from anywhere [ go anywhere] you have to go through customs ….. there is a channel says "EU" [ country?] & another "OTHERS from ELSEWHERE" next step is declare red? or green?
WHEN WE LEAVE THIS WILL NOT CHANGE ….however what does change is we move from EU TO OTHERS and VICE VERSA for EU /ROW.. the weak link as we all know is Eire/NI ….. at the moment a refugee lands in Europe in a rubber boat and could spend the rest of his/her life wandering around 27 countries … we go in and out of EUROPE "SHOW YOUR PASSPORT"
I travelled Europe pre EU and on a night time travelling to European east Europe quite often just got waved through the customs posts!!!!! off the boat at Ostende, through Belgiun/ Holland / into Germany NOT STOPPED... day time ques!

There are 208 crossings on the Irish border. Do we really expect each one to have both customs and identity checks? Do we really think that the (re)introduction of such checks would be allowed peacefully?

Perhaps we should build a wall and ask Ireland to pay for it!

What bit specifically? I don't understand how people in this thread apparently have it solved yet every politician recognises it as the sticking point.

Brits are just clinging on to the No1 immigrant status, but give it a year and they will have been over taken by the Chinese, with India coming up hard behind as well. There has been a definite shift away from the UK here in Oz over the last decade or so.

Isn't it because MOST politicians want us to remain, it's not really in their interest to find THE solution....That's how it works isn't it?

bang on and include the EU. the backstop is just a smokescreen. the hard border nobody wants one except the? EU. how democratic!!! brilliant comments from the DUP the EU cant even tell us what one is!!!

read the thread. there are politicians who think its only a probem if you want it to be its an invention, bollocks to prevent the UK leaving the EU. The EU even suggested Northern Ireland should be separated from the UK with no votes the EU again displaying how anti democratic they are.

There are plenty of Brexiteers incapable of answering.

You're missing the point. It's irrelevant what the politicians want.

If we avoid a hard border, how do we check the people and goods coming into the UK across 208 points?

Blind belief mate. I respect your choices to leave. But people are just ignoring this, it is a blocker. No different to me saying that if oil was involved pigs could fly.
