I think some of our players of the bad period should have been playing in a lower division. Why were we so slow to do anything about? Were we broke?
My childhood era...was 13 when that kit was realeased in 1980. Was lucky enough to meet meet Mark Falco, Tony Galvin, Ricky Villa, Garry Brookes and Steve Perryman at various book signings and chsrity matches when I was in my 40s...was like being a teenager on the Shelf all over again! My shirt, Spurs books and flag they signed are my best Spurs treasures. I have a press photo (stamped by the Daily Mirror) of Ricky celebrating his glorious semi final goal in the replay v wolves in 1981 (my first ever spurs match) and another (again stamped by the Daily Mirror) of him scoring THAT goal in the 1981 replay. He signed oth for me. I loved that team...they carried me though a childhood living with s ****wit mother who married a childbeating, glory hunting Liverpool fan. They'll never know the how they made to a young kid smile and believe he belonged to something when he dodging the threats, punches and general ****ish behaviour. Even when we lost I was still a spur...and I loved that feeling COYS
Just think.....today we would never have seen a player have a bad final and then go barmy in the replay. Today they've got to have their penalties to make tv happy at our expense!
4 out of the 6 were home grown too. Plus Stevie P, Maxie Miller, Tony Galvin, Gary Brooke. Great days and a seriously good looking kit.
Renato Sanches says he doesn't, which is awkward given he's in their squad Probably one for the transfer thread, that...
I'd love to hear a full explanation for this. If he's been spending time with his babies at hospital and Schalke have dropped him to the U23s because of it, then they're a disgrace.
Hopefully it was just a miscommunication issue, as he mentions he forgot to text the club to say where he was so they assumed he'd ditched training and demoted him on the spot
