Look at the bunch of catastrophic characters that lead us at the moment, May,Hammond, Corbyn, McDonnell, Cable, Abbot, Gove and a host of others, I really don't trust any of them or their acolytes.

I find it hard to believe May has a
10% lead in the polls at the moment over Corbyn.

What has Corbyn done v May... What was Corbyns defined position to deliver the referendum vote as pledged in HIS party manifesto. He had a Bennite position in the past. Then a euro sceptic position. Then another. No conviction, no beliefs, no principles … No momentum (ha). No surprises there to understand he is 10% behind.

How do Labour represent Labour voting leavers in Middlesbrough and other areas where Labour voted emphatically Leave? He and they don't

I don't disagree with you one bit but the facts are he has expanded Labour party membership to over 500k, the biggest party membership in Western Europe, May is a disaster for her party but Corbyn marches on, you are very obviously knowledgeable on the subject,I am just a member of the voting public and I'm feeling blitzed at the moment and expressing just a personal opinion, Labour nor Tory would get my vote and the liberals just suffer from conjuntivitis and get dizzy from looking both ways.

I'm wandering in the confused wilderness looking for somewhere to hang my voting hat like thousands of others.

If we actually had the alternative vote, this is a situation where a third party could really make significant strides. Unfortunately I think most will still go with Labour/Tory and vote for whoever they see as the best of the bad bunch.

The Liberals as a party have been staunchly pro EU … They lack significant but have a consistent position.

Yes the Labour party has been massively expanded. These are new views, new class, new principles. This repositions the Labour party. If the party does not reflect the views of its traditional core vote it creates a risk. For awhile Corby with his euro sceptic views provided a opportunity to provide Leadership and galvanise the new left and its traditional old behind Brexit.

Both Labour and Conservative could have delivered Brexit together.

From what looks to be a confused wilderness there is always opportunity. From what appears to be chaos provides great opportunity for change. Sounds a bit idealistic, but the outcome of Brexit has to create internal party change in the near future. May will go, Tom Watson and his cohorts will continue to undermine Corbyn … Politics does not continue like this for ever.

Seems there might be a vote on a second referendum tonight?

Whichever way this goes it is going to be carnage.

+I DONT EITHER I think they miscounted, should be more like 40% ..
in the past week after taking a week away from the hussle bustle of some of the tripe ..starting listening in again ready for last nights vote...biggest consensus is.... [ probably agroup of about 50 friends and neighbours ]

leavers and remainers alike are democratically of the view we leave end of …
no clear "no deal /deal " but consensus is cant really do much until out and we negotiate we import more than export to them so in their interests to have a deal.. our options the world is a big place and plenty more markets out there..
the stumbling blocks [ also friends north of the border] SNP are in it for one thing, lost the independence vote and within months wanted a new referendum to get independence
THE CORBOLLO TICS .. see's every vote as an opportunity to get a general election .. got news for him there is so much anti jermy should it and when it does he will likely get ousted for a new leader or the peeps wont vote for him as a PM [ a lot of the world countries say he would be a disaster ] ….

You mean the EU not as it is today, which is fair. The Single Market is basically the same as it was in it's basic premise. If you know what it is <laugh>

I’m like you, if we had a GE I would seriously consider not voting as I trust none of them.

You are right Rob , it was called the Common Market it those days, but basically much the same as what’s now called the Single Market.

Well, Brexit is delayed - assuming the E.U. agree. May wants 3 months but the EU may insist on more - up to 2 years.
My wife was delighted and still clings to the hope that it will all end in Remain.
I am not so pleased. My preference is well known on this forum, but even as a Remainer, although my travelling may be easier, I think the prospect of 2 years of ‘limbo’ would be more damaging than any of the 3 possible scenarios; Remain, May’s deal or No Deal.
British-owned businesses face the possibility of 2 more years of being unable to plan, whilst foreign-owned companies have more time to relocate to the continent.
Brexit really is the gift that keeps on TAKING.
May is now going to tell MPs next week to back her deal or (well, nobody knows).
Funny isn’t it - how the elite MPs are allowed 3 votes on May’s deal, whereas the common peasant people are denied the chance to change their minds just once........?
I absolutely HATE THIS INFURIATING BUNCH OF PATHETIC TW@s - most of all Cameron for creating this mess then retiring comfortably to France I believe, looking comfortably on, whilst the rest of them destroy my country.
Invermere - is there room in Canada for a 52 year old IT Project Manager and his family?........

Angry? It’s true to say I’m spitting feathers

Parliament.....what a bunch of wasters and con artists....the majority of them wanted us to remain and I fear they will con the people to do just that..
I hope EU tells us where we can stick the delay.....kicking the can up the road........What is the point of ever voting in this country?

A 3 month, or more delay is absolutely the worst outcome. There is no upside to it, all it means is more months of bitching and fighting when it’s clear that there will not be an agreeable outcome between the politicians. In the mean time all the businesses that were holding to see what happens, will now have more time to plan their exit from the UK.

It’s time Theresa May stood up to the politicians and say, I won’t go back to Brussels and ask for more time, vote my deal, or live with the consequences, at least she would earn some respect by doing that.

Yeah I'm inclined to agree. I think bcfcredandwhite kind of nailed it really, it's just kicking the can down the road.

Whether Brexit really is this land of prosperity and freedom, or going to ruin us as a country, either way, let's just do it. Delaying the inevitable by 3 months or 2 years is just pointless and creates more uncertainty.

If it has to be no deal, then just do it, accept the open border and I think those who support it will realise just what they've accepted before long. If it does make us flourish as a country then happy days, I just can't be arsed with the delaying. I can see why they're doing it, but it is a total pain.

BCR&W .......... commented .."incompetent and downright awful as each other".

THIS HAS developed into a major " I only care about me" BY A LOT OF POLITICIANS. And is definetly the only swansong of JERMY CORBOLLOTICS..... when he for no reason has a premeditated speech prepared . as they hope to win "their amendment" and spouts it off, usually without any context to, or very little context the matter in hand it shows he doesn't really care about the people the jobs the companies etc of this country,[ the companies and many of the money men have always got contingency plans to move finances etc abroad when Labour might get in ]
Have you noticed how JERMY CORBOLLOTICS, has changed since his first months in office . … looked like anything but a parliamentarian when first elected, casual open necked shirt always opened questions with …. ! Doris from "that place" asks "why is it she and her 15 kids have only got£1000 a week to live on and her local council wont knock 3 council houses into 1 so she can have another …. or Sydney from …..
since Brexit he wears smart suits... gone is Doris and Sydney and friends … his language is not about them, gets 5 out of 10 of his PMQ's totally wrong and with the PM getting last word always/ mostly left with that red faced dumb look on his face as the pm makes him look silly....!
democracy....DEMOCRACY ===== " we need something to put the sausages in at the BBQ we can only buy finger rolls or we can buy baps? hands up 1-2-3-4-5 for finger rolls 1-2-3-4-5-6 OK that's 6 for baps ...the baps have it. A bit later.. i really did want a finger roll for my sausages but 2 fit just nicely ...or....
