I think looking at the carnage some lads are having, would it not be good to be able to ‘name’ who you are buying for?

I often grab extras for pals etc, one lad Dan, been to at least 30 games last 2 seasons but no history. Why can’t we have a system to name them?

I agree mate. I do understand the one ticket per customer number but like you say multiple people should be able to be named under that customer and it could have been 1 ticket per name. In essence someone is able to get a ticket when they've been to 1 game in 2 years but people who have been to 10 plus can't get one.

I don't envy the person who had to come up with the ticketing plan as ultimately I don't think they could have pleased everyone but will certainly be telling everyone I know to get there own customer account in future.

    . . . . and ours have sold out

Sunderland AFC will be backed by a sea of red and white in the Checkatrade Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 31st March.
Tickets for the highly-anticipated fixture against fellow Sky Bet League One promotion-chasers Portsmouth are now SOLD OUT.
An extremely limited number of tickets went on sale on Wednesday morning after the club secured an extra allocation from the EFL, and these were quickly snapped up by the club’s supporters.
As a result, Jack Ross and his players will be backed by almost 40,000 fans when they travel to the capital.
Tickets went on sale on Friday to the club’s 24,000 season card holders before entering phase two earlier this week, as supporters with a recent home league ticket purchase history were given the opportunity to secure their seat.
After the club’s allocation sold out during phase three, the club’s managing director, Tony Davison, said: “Our forthcoming trip to Wembley promises to be a special occasion for everybody at the club.
“The fact that tickets have sold out within just a few days tells you all you need to know about our supporters and their loyalty, but it comes as no surprise as they have travelled far and wide throughout the season.
“As a club, we appreciate that any time a fixture sells out, some supporters will be left disappointed, but we will be working hard to ensure that wherever you are in the world, you feel a part of a big day for our football club.”

The Black Cats confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that they had sold their entire allocation of 39,569 tickets, just hours after Pompey's sales had topped 30,000.
An impressive 74,434 supporters watched Coventry City lift the trophy following a 2-1 victory against Oxford United in 2017, an attendance which remains the highest at the new Wembley Stadium.
The record attendance for the Final at any stadium came in 1988, when 80,841 fans saw Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Burnley 2-0 at the old Wembley.
With just two points separating fourth-placed Portsmouth and third-placed Sunderland in Sky Bet League One at the time of writing, the 2019 Final promises to be a fantastic occasion.
Sunderland managing director, Tony Davison, said: “Our forthcoming trip to Wembley promises to be a special occasion for everybody at the club. The fact that tickets have sold out within just a few days tells you all you need to know about our supporters and their loyalty."

We could lose to Pompey in the Checkatrade and then beat them in the play offs. 2 x Wembley in 1 season. Not many clubs done that.

Sunderland AFC supporters who have secured a seat for the Checkatrade Trophy Final are advised that Ticketmaster will begin dispatching tickets on Friday 15 March.
Fans should receive their tickets approximately seven to ten days before the date of the final [Sunday 31 March].
A Ticketmaster customer services telephone line will be open from Wednesday 27 to Saturday 30 March between 9am and 5pm for Checkatrade Trophy Final queries and duplicate requests only.
The number for this customer services line will be 0333 003 5935.
Tickets will arrive until Tuesday 26 March, and anyone who has not received their ticket by then should contact the number above.
Supporters with international addresses are advised that their tickets will be held for collection at Wembley Stadium, and will not be posted.
