    Great idea by @Nads .

I can see a lot of people going for 09. I've gone with Big John. After last season with our goalkeepers we really needed a strong and reliable keeper and that's what we have. He's won us quite a few points and even saved our first penalty at the SOL.

Honourable shout out for Maguire. Its clear something has gone on with him and the club. He was my favourite signing at the start of the season. He looked very good.

Erm, I’ve done one as well but yours has a bit more detail so I’ll delete mine. They never turned my MOD powers off, guess they don’t know how to haha.

I also went with McLaughlin, reasons being 1) he’s gained us the most points individually and 2) he gives us confidence to play out as he is super reliable.

    Sorry about that dude.

Not many active boards on here, but the ones that are always seem to mention Flanagan as our stand-out player...

Yeah, I see why people like the CB’s, great eart, determination, but personally, as mentioned on the other thread, they give me heart palpitations. Good defenders no doubt but glacial movement, fine for league one and have been good signings on that basis.

O’Nien was my only secondary consideration what a find he’s been and still growing week to week, feeding of the fans adoration. He could become the signing of this season over the course of the next 2 or 3 years. Right now it’s keeps, he’s won us 15 points plus in my opinion.

I initially went for O9, but changed it to Big John as like you say Nads, he has got us so many points this season, whereas O9 took time to settle.

Had O9 hit the ground running from day one, I think I would have stuck with him.

09 has been great - no arguments there

But last season showed us how absolutely essential it is to have a competent goal keeper. Big John stepped in to the mess we had created between the posts, and he has been nothing short of brilliant for us

    Wow, bit of a landslide.

Mind, that’s not taking anything away from others. We’ve done some great business. We all second O’Nien, but Maguire has not half won us some points as well, shame the recent drop from him but I remain a huge fan of the lad.

Yeah, Maguire is a cracking little player. Will run his heart out for us, too.

The disappointing player for me has been, Power. I really he thought he'd be a step above everybody in this league and would control our games. Sent off a few times and he doesn't really look all that, to me. I don't think he's Championship standard.

He was superb until the reds, they seemed to knock him but he’s looking solid again now. May come good still so let’s stick with him, but not a contender in this.

Over the course of the season to date, Big John has been very consistent and a safe pair of hands. Think he needs to improve his distribution when we can't play out from the back, but he's been a breath of fresh air given our recent keeping tragedies.

Oh they do... But I won't tell them if you don't!

I've gone for O'Nien - was a very tough one to call as McLaughlin has been superb (and, let's be honest, we'd have stayed up had he been here last season!!) I just love Luke (again, in a non-gay way!!)

Luke absolutely deserves somebody’s votes, he was a very close second for me and I could absolutely see justification.

As I’ve said though, the volume of points I believe McG has won us swayed me.

    Keeper hands down for me.

Had he been our keeper last season I don't think we'd have gone down.

Steele, Ruiter and Camp are/were all horrific.

He's been solid when called upon. I'd keep him as our number 2, if we go up.

09, thought about changing to BJ but sticking with Luke. Think he'll be as "big" as SKP in years to come
