Sanders formally launched his campaign. It's like he sees trump and feels the reaction to this presidency will create a platform where he can be even more bold than he was last time. He's basically laid out a completely socialist agenda.

It'd be astounding if he's chosen by the democratic party.

It'd be interesting just to relog into facebook which ive not done in 2 years to see the absolute fun and games in the usa. My old acount was full of yanks

After Trump got nominated and then elected nothing would surprise me.

Sanders running is the best thing that could happen to Trump. He's syphoning off all that campaign money from the others and is ultimately as unelectable in the US as Corbyn is in the UK.

Sanders gets the nomination and Trump might stand a chance.

There are a lot of Sanders clones running this year though, they're going to steal votes from each other. Most of the Democrats running are Sanders wannabes.

In reaction to Trump the Democrats have moved more to the left. They can afford to because so many people hate Trump that they don't have to try so hard to appeal to moderates anymore. They can say and do what they want now because almost no one wants Trump to stay and will take a far left fringer if it means being rid of him.
 
US President Donald Trump has launched a furious attack on Special Counsel Robert Mueller and on his critics at a conservative summit.

In the longest speech of his presidency, Mr Trump railed against the inquiry into alleged collusion between his campaign and Russia.

"We're waiting for a report by people who weren't elected," he told a crowd of cheering conservatives.

Mr Mueller is expected to hand in his report to the attorney general shortly.

Mr Trump's second summit with Kim Jong-un in Vietnam ended abruptly without a deal this week.

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland, Mr Trump lashed out at his detractors in a wide-ranging speech.

the best for all is if the republicans have the balls to put a genuine candidate up opposite him in primaries and eliminate him.
