Think I have a bit of 'the Piskie' in me from when I was a young lad. Trouble is now I am married to a woman who thinks that a holiday without Shopping is no holiday at all. Just realised though that she has already got two holidays sorted for this year without me: Dubrovnik, Sarejevo, Venice and Milan with relatives in March and New York with friends in April. Daughter has been pestering me to hike the Inca Trail with her so might see if we can get a spot on that while I am still fit enough to do it. Otherwise it might be another working holiday in Timor Leste - still got a few more rocks and oil seeps to collect. Oh and I am going to Newcastle in May to watch them end Liverpool's title hopes, if they have not been ended already.
Yeah, exactly. They're clean and professional, he'll get good sex. Sex is viewed differently over there. I was standing at the coffee shop near the red light district and a load of school kids went walking through with their teachers, the whores were still banging on the windows at all the men walking past. They hide nothing and teach their kids about sex and drugs, head on. I like the liberal approach to it all.
Everyone is stoned and Chilled out...until you come across some knobhead on a Stag do. Was only time I heard some rukus
It's always the piss heads everywhere you go. Take a train ride and spend a few hours in another city, you'll get a much better feel for the country then and prices are much cheaper on everything too, including the weed. You'll pay about 12 - 14 euro for a gram, in Amsterdam. In Arnhem, I can pick it up for 6 - 7 euro for a gram.
It's about an hour and 10 minutes on the train. Nice little town, full of history. There's still bullet holes in some of the houses on the outskirts of the town centre, from when we were fighting door to door with the Nazi's. There's a little museum under the Arnhem bridge which is quite good, too. If there's a game on you'll pick up two tickets for about 25 - 30 euro.
I'll weigh it all up...sounds interesting actually. I don't mind visiting Museums...stuff like that is fun when stoned Cheers Saff...no doubt I'll be talking about it closer to the time
Yeah of course bro, just drop me a message and I'll give you a list of loads of things you can do and you can decide if any of them sound alright, for you both. The Dungeons in Amsterdam is really good, I'd highly recommend that. It teaches you a little bit about their history and is definitely worth visiting. There's also a place right next to that called Body World, if you're interested in the human anatomy, then I'd definitely recommend that.
That's why I don't use a tent. I take a camping hammock instead. Packs down smaller than a tent so you can take luxuries along instead... Like toilet paper. I've also got a bivy I sometimes uses instead of a tent if I'm going somewhere without strong trees... If I'm camping from the kayak I'll take both.
I'm really keen on a trip to Japan Where are you heading mate ? I'm not so bothered about the cities, although I'd like to see Tokyo. But I'd love to get out into the sticks and see some temples, meet some old school Japanese people etc.
I normally hate ****ing camping. Cold, uncomfortable and damp. Camped in the okavango delta in botswana though about 4 hours away from civilization. It was glorious with my fellow campmates and chilling out in the clear night sky
Bobby knows This is what I'm talking about. Camping isn't sharing a Dorset campsite with 100 other families all queuing up at the communal sink to do your washing up. It's about getting off the beaten track into those places that most people haven't got the balls to venture to.
trust hiag. Im off to budapest for a stag do later this year too. Tbh i found it quite disappointing when i went last year. Might be cause i got ill though
Depends what you like mate. I really liked croatia and did plitvice lake which is quite far away and woodlands (if thats your sort of thing). Dubrovniks a beautiful city but its got **** loads of tourists which really takes away from the feel of the place imo. I really liked malta too.
I hate camping of any kind. If there isn’t a bed, en suite bathroom and the option of room service then I’m not going.
