Looking at the table and as I predicted a couple of seasons ago the gap between the elite six clubs and the rest has become firmly established and 2015/16 was an outlier and it's difficult to see how it will change apart from a breakaway to a European league of some kind. Wolves in 7th are 13 points behind Chelsea in 6th who have a game in hand and there are a mere 13 points separating 7th and 17th places.
