You were right and I was wrong, Dutch. But there are only two people to blame for this and they happen to be father and son.

Oh I know. But here's a question for you. Do you believe CTWD could have stopped the move happening anyway?

To me, all that was just a clash of personalities on here.

It was certainly not just a clash of personalities on here,(it was beyond the bits and people that were on this board) and a number of individuals more than a group could perhaps consider what was predicted and how things have panned out now with the benefit of hindsight. They're unlikely to do that with an open mind or learn from it, so there's very little point dragging it out again.

Ah well as its started I may as well remind everyone of my take on things, the Allams may well be, petty, vindictive, childish ****s but they are not daft. As the hooligan element increased their protests the Allams seized upon a collection of things and drew them all together to move the hooligan element into the naughty corner out of sight and sound. Some didn't see the big picture and thought it was a great idea to unite the kop behind the goal, others saw the downsides of the move.

That photo of the East Stand at kick off encapsulates this disastrous regime perfectly. Nigel Adkins deserves much more (despite his team selection last night!) but we're in this vicious circle. The crowd is like this because of the owners, but any potential new owner looking at that is hardly likely to be inspired, are they?

I assume you are talking about the E1 and E2 evictions? That was a dirty master stroke in political manouevering by Father and son. I'm sure that section will have contained the highest percentage of 'no voters', and by far the most 'militant'. Because of the timing (immediately after the cup final and most were battle weary after a season of name change protests), There was little chance to regroup. Those who weren't directly affected weren't particularly interested.
Many gave up there and then, the rest were dispersed and realised it wasn't quite the same buzz, so have gradually decreased in numbers. I hate to say it but it was fantastically timed divide and rule from the city bastards....and actually we're still arguing about it now. Any thought of strong protests evaporated at that point.
I agree it is ****ing depressing looking over to East stand nowadays and reminiscing. Our group of five from E2 are down to two of us. Others lasted one season in North stand and didn't renew. When one of us can't go, we offer our 'passes' to others. Could n't even give 'em away last night

No they couldn’t.

CTWD were a single issue group who were formed specifically to stop the name change fiasco. They had paid up members who had contributed funds to stop the name change. Use of those funds, for any other reason, without a proper mandate, would have been a misappropriation.

The spokespeapole of the group were not in a position to speak, act or campaign against the stand moves on behalf of CTWD as they hadn’t put the issue to it’s Members.

People call **** out of the Allams, but the moving of fans into the N stand was not their idea. They merely facilitated the wishes of a noisy campaigning clique of fans, some of whom seemed to be fantasists with an agenda and not dyed in the wool black and amber.

Had the Allams said no to the move, they would have got called all the ****s by this group and their followers.

Inshallah, I shall return to spectate from E3
