Benalouane was a weird signing. He was never really wanted from day 1. Ranieri didnt play him and loaned him out. He got some games due to injuries. Did ok but was too rash. Good to finally have him off the wage bill
The whole point I remember was that Ranieri was going to play with wing backs and wanted a RCB who was comfortable on the ball and could slot into RB or CB in a back 4. Looked so different to that it’s unreal. Tbf to recruitment, he did arrive with a decent reputation. It’s amazing how changing leagues can make someone go from decent to one of the worst. Did we ever give him a chance? I’d say yes and he was just awful in all chances. Looked like a mistake waiting to happen all the time
Posted his highlights including that here https://www.not606.com/threads/the-general-chat-thread.114538/page-153#post-12481301
Leonardo Jardim is our new manager!!! (according to wikipedia) Chituru Odunze is with us on a trial - he is a 6"7 16yo England-born-American GK.
A six inch seven hundred and sixteen year old. Wes is a mere chicken - hope we give him a five hundred year extension.
We are linked with Nahitan Nandez - a 23yo Uruguayan CM from Boca Juniors. We also linked with Mohammed Elmandy from Arsenal again as we seem to have been for the past couple of years.
Heard something regarding Andy King today. He doesnt want to leave us so wont accept a permanent move but wants to go out on loan He knows his days are over under Puel but as we all know Puel wont be here next season. King wants to try and prove himself to the new manager in the summer
Not really sure about that - as much as I like the lad, there is a reason why only Championship clubs are after him. Would say it is more because he is on a contract that no one else will match right now - it ends next season so he can move on a free as clubs would be more willing to match it if there is no transfer fee. Hope that he proves me wrong though - I would say that he is the true Mr Leicester City. please log in to view this image
I guess it makes sense moneywise for him to sit out or be loaned for the next 18 months. Will probably get a better contract without a transfer fee, though i'd bet we'd take peanuts for him now.
All this Adrien Silva talk is getting silly Either play him or get rid Me personally now Iborra has gone I would keep Silva until the summer at least. Give him gametime to see what he can offer us My complaint about him is he always takes the easy pass. I want to see him have ambition in his play. Try and play the killer pass, take a shot, etc
Talk is that this is exactly what will happen - Swansea are after King again so Silva might have more chance to play.
King leaving wont have any bearing as he was behind Silva anyway And I dont like loaning players out unless its for their development. Keep them or sell them. If clubs cant afford them then they cant have them
