I studied the English Civil War. Not many people know this but it was not strictly "English" at all. It was a British civil war.

 

I read about it about 6 months ago, quite interesting to be honest

 

It's fascinating, and as usual a lot to do with religion.

I used to wargame the period too, I still have my miniature figures in my attic. Royalist strangely enough.

 

I never read books, please could either of you summarise the English Civil War in a few short paragraphs so that I too am informed?
