Sounds like an avatar bet that mate.

If you get caught out with a wum **** up before the end of the season then G4E gets to choose your avatar for the whole of next season.

Get it written up @Spurlock

That isn't how it works, Pix.

I don't think you and I should view each other as arch rivals, now, Pix.

The slate has been wiped clean, and we're just two ordinary posters going about our business.

Yeah ?

I've never considered you my rival mate <ok>

Shows just how little you know about the subject.

All of the social clubs are major venues on the semi pro circuit. All have a stage and decent lighting, and pay the best money. Consequently, there is keen competition among bands to secure one of the limited booking slots in each annual gigging calendar.

We play most of the clubs (that showcase live music) in our area, and have done so on a regular basis for several years. The clubs we don't play is down to our own choice .

We're playing two new clubs, this year, venturing off our immediate patch.

Why am I keep being brought up on this thread? Keep me out of it or I'll release more info on different posters.

Through my sources, again, of course <whistle>

What happened to your thread mate ?

If you dont mind me askin, how much do you guys roughly get paid for your average gig?

I play in a gigging band, and we charge £1000 for a gig. (sometimes less if it's mates) There are 8 of us though, + the soundman so it's not that well paid when you take into account all of the hours practicing, the cost of the equipment, fuel to and from gigs etc.

We pay the Singer and the Soundman £100 each for the gig and the rest goes into paying the rent on our studio and maintaining equipment etc.
