  1. That's correct, Libby.

I don't even know where the materials originally came from.

Bloody good work, though. I could use someone with those talents, when I need to trace missing persons.

You've already said in your OP that it was me <laugh> You daft ****.

On another note though, you owe Ginge a debt of gratitude as he asked brb to lift your ban.

  4. We are universally recognised as the best rock band on our circuit - and it's a busy circuit.

Proof of the pudding is the repeat bookings we get, year after year, at all the major venues.

That's discounting the countless comments and plaudits from punters.

And the endless white hot flange, of course.

  6. I respect Candyman .

    As I respected A87.

He's not afraid to spout the truth, no matter how inconvenient or embarrassing it may be to his fellow fans. That has made him unpopular with his own, but us neutrals respect him for it.

Don't take this the wrong way mate, but the local Conservative club isn't exactly a major venue.

I'm not knocking it, I think it's great that you get out there and play. I know how much fun it is. But there's no need to exaggerate, it just makes you look a bit insecure.

  10. Shows just how little you know about the subject.

All of the social clubs are major venues on the semi pro circuit. All have a stage and decent lighting, and pay the best money. Consequently, there is keen competition among bands to secure one of the limited booking slots in each annual gigging calendar.

We play most of the clubs (that showcase live music) in our area, and have done so on a regular basis for several years. The clubs we don't play is down to our own choice .

We're playing two new clubs, this year, venturing off our immediate patch.

Well I had a quick look at the major venues in Dorset according to Gig-Guide and the Guardian and your band don't play any of them.

But like I say, I'm not here to knock you, so as long as you and the white haired flange enjoy it, then that's what counts <ok>

Just a quick question. If there is keen competition to secure the limited booking slots, then why do your band play the same venue 3 or 4 times ? Surely if the competition was that fierce, these venues would be booking a different band every week ?

  16. There are not enough good bands to fill all available slots .

These venues will not book acts that are not up to scratch.

Plus, punters want to see their favourite bands again and again .
