5m or less from Celtic would be poor business imo., we loose our talisman striker, who will likely be sold on in the near future for a massive profit which rightly should be ours, once again we have no control over the situation, thanks to the hapless way this club was run until recently..

He could still sign for us. He has until Friday to decide...
If he does not sign a new deal with us he could then enter into talks with other clubs and just wait to move in the summer.
The dilemma is:
1 - do we accept a bid (rumour of a £4.5M bid from Celtic) and use that money on a replacement
2 - do we keep him until the end of this season and take a gamble on compensation (Celtic paid £500K for Moussa Dembele aged 20)
3 - do we offer him a much better contract to stay and sell for silly money in the future (Celtic sold Dembele for €16.5M 2 years later)

3, 2, 1 would be my choice, just wish he would sign and keep improving until a Premiership club comes in with an offer we cant refuse, wishful thinking I know. If he does not sign what then ?

So by all accounts we've offered him 7 times his current wage and he's told us to do one. To reiterate, mug.

Gonna enjoy watching his career go down the toilet :1980_boogie_down:

Players reject contract offers from incumbent clubs to join SAFC from time to time. Should we brand them as mugs before they join us?

Its just business, but from our point of view this is extremely disappointing

Then you're a mug fella. Josh told SAFC he wants to sign - Josh's agent tells SKY he doesn't want to sign (doesn't contact SAFC) - Agents are ****ers and that is the be all and end all of this story. He wanted to sign it and his agent told him not to. What exactly would you do if your representative (when you were 20) told you he could get you more money?

****ing hate agents!

Not like this is real news mind - it's only from the chairman of our club
