N here we need to sell a player we don’t own... on the other thread we need to loan a player from a club that don’t own him!! @monty987 s hilarious isn’t he!!
Can we send Sinclair back this month to facilitate a permanent signing or are we stuck with him till the end of the season.
Bizarre. Our best player this year by a mile. Dragging us up the league, **** tons of upside. Takes a while to sign and gets grief. Do not get it.
If it's true - then (i believe) that'll be the tribunal fee in the summer. @Brian Storm would know better the ins and outs of when this happened in the past (not sure if it was Ings or Austin or someone like that)
Tribunal Compensation: (copied from RTG site) 2013 Daniel Sturridge (Man City to Chelsea) Age: 20 / Appearances, Goals: 21, 5. Fee: £6.5M+ (£3.5M upfront with £3M in add-ons and a 15% sell-on) 2015 Danny Ings (Burnley to Liverpool) Age: 23 / Appearances, Goals: 122, 38. Fee: £8M+ (£6.5M upfront with £1.5M in add-ons and a 20% sell-on) 2016 Moussa Dembele (Fulham to Celtic) Age: 20 / Appearances, Goals: 56, 15. Fee: £500,000 Curtis Nelson (Plymouth to Oxford) Age: 23 / Appearances, Goals: 213, 8. Fee: £280,000 (£200,000 upfront with £80,000 in add-ons) 2017 Ethan Ampadu (Exeter to Chelsea) Age: 17 / Appearances, Goals: 8, 0. Fee: £2.5M+ (£1.3M upfront with £1.2M in add-ons and a 20% sell-on) 2018 Lewis Ferguson (Hamilton to Aberdeen) Age: 19 / Appearances, Goals: 13, 0. Fee: £220,000
To be fair to him an easy league and virtually guaranteed CL football every season. Why not play at Milan, Madrid, Juventus etc. We would all do it.
He could still sign for us. He has until Friday to decide... If he does not sign a new deal with us he could then enter into talks with other clubs and just wait to move in the summer. The dilemma is: 1 - do we accept a bid (rumour of a £4.5M bid from Celtic) and use that money on a replacement 2 - do we keep him until the end of this season and take a gamble on compensation (Celtic paid £500K for Moussa Dembele aged 20) 3 - do we offer him a much better contract to stay and sell for silly money in the future (Celtic sold Dembele for €16.5M 2 years later)
Cannot understand why they would even offer that much. Last 6 months of his contract. Certainly dont want him to go whilst were in this league but if the offer is correct then I think we will sell him
3, 2, 1 would be my choice, just wish he would sign and keep improving until a Premiership club comes in with an offer we cant refuse, wishful thinking I know. If he does not sign what then ?
So by all accounts we've offered him 7 times his current wage and he's told us to do one. To reiterate, mug. Gonna enjoy watching his career go down the toilet
Josh—. “Wow fantastic” Agent —. “ hang on Josh , let’s see if I can get you 8 times, and an easy life sitting on a bench “
Players reject contract offers from incumbent clubs to join SAFC from time to time. Should we brand them as mugs before they join us? Its just business, but from our point of view this is extremely disappointing
Then you're a mug fella. Josh told SAFC he wants to sign - Josh's agent tells SKY he doesn't want to sign (doesn't contact SAFC) - Agents are ****ers and that is the be all and end all of this story. He wanted to sign it and his agent told him not to. What exactly would you do if your representative (when you were 20) told you he could get you more money? ****ing hate agents! Not like this is real news mind - it's only from the chairman of our club
