Chaplow went recently too :emoticon-0106-cryin

I don’t know why, but it warms my heart that those players had the best time of their careers with Saints. Just as we loved watching them beat basically everyone, they were having the time of their lives too. Thus creating a strange ever lasting connection between those ex players, the club and us fans.

Bit much? :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0152-heart

Oh and in case anyone missed it, they’re still friends now. These are from a recent weekend out in Southampton from Jos Instagram.

My ‘mate’ Dan Harding in there. Always makes me smile when I recall my Mate’s Dad asked me if I knew of a bloke called Dan Harding and if he was really a first team player at Saints. He was selling his car and had said the reason another name was on the ownership papers was because it had been bought via the club. I then had to go and meet Dan to check the car out. :)

Has anyone seen the link on the bbc about how much it costs to be a match day mascot ?

I assumed ( incorrectly ) that it was free.

Saints are one of the ones who don’t charge .

I knew it cost a lot at some clubs...glad we are free. I think it is disgraceful to charge....should be open to all. It raises so little money comparatively....any PL club can afford to pay for a kit and gift it to a little fan. That young fan will surely put money in the coffers over the following decades anyway.

I totally didn't notice that Yoshida's going to the Asian Cup this week.

Like Jasper I assumed this was free. Scandalous behavior from clubs and Swansea almost seem proud they’ve lowered the cost.
No surprise to see a club like West Ham doing this, but im stunned at clubs like Bournemouth. Perhaps it was something they introduced when money was tight, but no excuses now

Ours is done by competition isn't it?

I suspect a lot of the clubs put money into their various charities etc.

Don’t know, but sounds right.
I’m sure those clubs say it goes to charity and I’m sure it does, but there shouldn’t be any financial transaction. It discriminates against the haves and have nots of their fan bases.
Off soap box
