That's neither here nor there to a man like Poch who is only interested in building football teams. That's why these things are irrelevent...you think Poch will join United because everyone in China loves watching them?

The money generated from the brand results in a bigger transfer kitty and wage. Therefore it comes down to transfer kitty again.
But he will have to build Utd as a powerhouse of a team again. Just he will have more money to do it.

Are you still buying into the myth that Levy will be interested in a sale because he wants £££ over every thing else?

It's like NSIS said...the only time Levy starts to talk money is when he knows he's got no choice. So if Poch decides he's going..then Levy will rinse United and why not?

That is very different to the narrative that will be that Levy wanted the money so got rid of Poch..therefore history and evidence to me suggests no matter what happens...everyone is still going to peddle the same old narrative.

Thats not what I was arguing.

Nice essay though Fosse.

People join the team more likely for long term success (the team with a bigger budget is generally the team with more chance obviously needing to account for current squad quality).

Its why kante joined chelsea. Leicester were top dogs yet he still chose to move to lowly 10th placed chelsea.

Its why someone would choose real madrid over atletico.

Sure united are down in the dumps this season but they have won more trophies than you in recent history and they finished above you last season so actually until this year they were the better side

No different to our dinlo fans who couldn't understand that Everton was a step up despite being in Europe.

Ifs n buts....how do you or any of the other plebs on here know anything they post for certain?

That's right...you don't...does it stop you?

That's right it doesn't.

Mate, surely you know how not606 works by now ? <laugh>

**** off then..unless you can clarify what you was arguing

I never said Levy would be interested in it for financial reasons, just that I think Poch would be and if that's the case there's not a great deal Levy can do.

Football is about money, and Pooch is no different. Spurs could win the Prem for the next 5 seasons, and still won't be looked upon as a bigger club than Utd...

I don't care about if it is or is not seen as a bigger club or smaller club...id rather be where we are today than them. Im not denying football is about money...don't forget it was you who asked the question about pros n cons...I was just giving my answer.

I'm just trying to get away from the **** everyone is peddling about club size like it matters or trying to argue which squad is better..that's laughable or which club is in a healthier way going forward.

Money talks...I know that.

IF he goes, as Jose has proved, win or fail, it's a guaranteed lifetime sized payoff.

Apart from also offer him a transfer kitty of note. If he doesn't and Poch leaves..I don't blame him because that's Levy not keeping his end of the bargain.

I can understand that..was getting all nauseous hearing bollocks about club history etc etc like that matters to the next manager. I never argued against the money point.

I think it does matter tbh, though probably not as much as the dough, but I expect it means a lot to represent a huge club and they don't get much bigger than United.

Professional pride? If I was a manager I'd take pride in representing big clubs, didn't Klopp say similar about joining Liverpool rather than a new style money club.

Being the man to deliver the first post Fergie title is a hell of a carrot too.

No matter what transfer kitty he offers Untied could double it without sweating.
