Got to be a good thing right, but you have to wonder where these kind of sick stories come from http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/05092011/63/malbranque-dismisses-quit-stories.html
Funny how footballers who played with him at Sunderland, Spurs and Fulham tweeted how sorry they were, would have thought they would have know if he had a son
Thanks for posting that Cheik. ****ing disgrace that someone has started **** like this, i sincerely hope it wasn't a SAFC or NUFC fan. Credit to the Toon fans for their support when we didn't know it was ****.
even the Echo were fooled, or maybe not Ex-Sunderland and Spurs man Malbranque retires Sunderland Echo - 8 hours ago By Graeme Anderson STEED Malbranque has revealed that the reason he has decided to ... but it has since emerged that his son's illness and his desire to be ...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/news/8743112/Steed-Malbranques-lawyers-rubbish-reports-he-has-quit-football-to-care-for-cancer-suffering-son.html Well I am glad it is untrue but who would start a rumour like that?
By the way: How many mackems saw that thread title in the forum section and clicked on it because they were ready to rip Cheik the Room a new arsehole?
By all accounts he's a pretty reserved man, although I would have thought it unlikely, it's feasible that he may not have spoken much about his private life with them.
Some sick bastards around like if it was done intentionally, can't really see what anybody would get out of it, could just have been a genuine error, I hope so.
What a relief, but whoever started this **** is a sick bastard, they really need to take a look at their life and sort it out.
It ain't gonna happen very often but to the Newcastle posters on here tonight, well played lads. Sometimes you just cant comprehend what goes through some folks minds. I like to banter a bit and have some fun at their expense and they likewise back but this is one of the sickest episodes I have come across for some time. Not because it is Steed, or indeed any footballer but rather the thought of someone thinking it was funny to talk about cancer in children. Its nice to see the disgust felt from all sections of the NE football fanbase. Anyone who has had family effected by this awful disease will know of the horrors and trauma it brings with it and especially for me this week as a friend of mine just buried his 26 year old daughter on Friday, who sadly passed away from the very same thing. I wish it were humanly possible just to spend a few minutes in the company of the people behind this story, to 'discuss and educate' them in the errors of their ways. ****ing scum.
I have mixed emotions at present..On the one hand it is bloody great news that it is not true, but on the other hand I find it hard to comprehend how anyone could do set this rumour around in the first place... Cheers for the info OP..
