At halloween i got dressed up as a clown and had black face paint on...does that make me also a racist?

Dazzla, being afraid of not being PC is a genuine concern if folk are not aware of the right choice of words and knowing the PC lingo is no way a measure of non-racism. To claim that "things like this that i believe ruin our societies" is a bit of an overstatement imo

Images can be used in different ways and I've seen Papa Lazarou's image being used by racists to inflame/offend people and then hide behind the fact that it's 'a comedy icon' with feighned innocence.

At one time the BNP memberes must have had the largest collection of 'golliwog' images for similar reasons.

I have no idea if the forum member is racist or not but having the name "Super Gyan" next to an image of someone in 'blackface' is sailing pretty close to the wind in my opinion...

I'm really not looking to enter a debate about whether Robison's Golliwogs were, or were not a form of racism... I had a few when I was a kid and they're probably still in a drawer somewhere; I'd never think of putting one in my lapel now because I know it might offend someone, it might make me look like a racist and besides, there are plenty of other things I could pin to my lapel without risking either of those things.
