We got rid of him to Cowdenbeath, they flogged him back to East Fife.

We picked up a youth player from Douglas Water Thistle FC who did rather well.

Least Robertson went to Liverpool and not Burnley. If memory serves me right, didn’t Silva block that move and threaten to leave if Ehab sold him.

He'd just become a full Scottish international and had just won Young Scottish Footballer Of The Year, I suspect a few people had noticed him.

Didn't "Jock" follow his brother down to England ? Can't remember if his brother played/signed for City or some other team ?

His brother went back and I think Jock did for a bit but obviously returned. I last saw Jock outside the KC v Darlington when the stadium first opened. He was with his family and I was with my old fella. I introduced the pair of them and I could tell it made Jocks day that people still recognised him. He was Mister Hull City, record appearances, captain, three broken legs, etc. Proper one club man which to my knowledge goes completely unrecognised anywhere in the stadium today.

Yes, David Davidson, he only made 22 appearances for us in 1948.

    Phil saw them all.

I didn't and I don't have to look it up in a book to give the impression that I did.

I think you might have meant outside BP v Darlington in their last game there ?
I was invited by Waggy down to meet many of the ex-City players before that Darlington game. Jock, as did many of the other lads, signed his autograph in the front of my copy of Waggy's biography I took with me to the game.
As a player he was as tough as nails. Fair, but hard & looked after his team-mates. Similar to Dave Mackay in that regard.

It was the KC v Darlington. I took my old fella which is how I remember it. He's only been the once and collapsed at half time. We were in the East Stand and the sun was red hot that afternoon if you remember. I had to carry him out with help from a couple of stewards and put him in an ambulance. I missed the second half and the goals. 4-0/4-1 from memory ? Thelwell ( the full back from Spurs) scoring on his debut.

I know someone who posts on here being credited in that book. As well as a couple more including that fanatic from round my way who tragically died during our second season in the PL who you bumped into a few times around the country in the days when only a handful were going to away games
On the other hand I can think of some not mentioned...
