Windy just holds the ball too long. That's his issue.

Sarri has decided he wants a playmaker not a defensive midfielder. So Kante hit to hare about being a box to box.

I can see why city wanted jorginho.

Gini was anonymous. Really frustrating watching him play.

Overall - easy game really. Fulham did have chances but not many and we created quite a few throughout.

Salah was really IMO - looked sharp and dangerous. Shaqiri the pick of the bunch though. Makes such a difference.

If we’re going to go with 4231, then leave Bobby up top, salah right and Shaq as number 10.

It's not always a issue, you can call it 'holding the ball up' or 'maintaining possession' too. Just wasn't needed today.

    Couldn't agree more with that.

Bobby is wasted anywhere else on the pitch. Salah is ineffective as the main striker. Mane is better on the left than right.

Just makes team sense to line up as highlighted.

If we used Bobby as the 10 when he first joined, then it would make sense. But he’s spent the last 3 years evolving into a false 9.

He's better in the F9 role. Also brings the best out of others too. I don't think he's creative enough to play No.10

It’s the role he played at Hoffenheim, and he was really good.

Definitely evolved into F9 and we need to keep him centrally and close the box. <ok>

Please do, hate Salah playing up top. We did it towards the end of last season and struggled and we are doing it again now.
Firmino is less effective and Salah just doesn't play his usual game.

Sounds like a comfortable win that.

Not seen a good replay of the goal, read some that says it was tight but offside and other saying it was on. Did they do a VAR style shot to show once and for all?

Salah still missing a few chances it seems but took his goal nicely, hopefully perks him up a bit

Seems odd as we all know Salah is best cutting in from the right, making runs between CB and FB so playing him so central restricts that.

Klopp clearly has an idea as to why though so have to see if it does work out

It was right but it was offside.

Salah took his goal well but could have easily had a hat-trick too

    that is very true.

in games where others hoof, especially in europe, windy holding possession can be vital.

but as you say not needed.today. just move the ball quick one touch.

klopp said technically Robertson's heel played him on..

technically the ball was also moving.

    let's be clear here.

Liverpool are struggling to "find a way" as klopp would say.

We have not been able to get the midfield really functioning properly and to bring the front 3 into the game.

we are chasing formations and pushing firmino around the pitch cos klopp feels he needs salah high up just to use the pace and finish.

today for example fabinho played ok. he was never ever in trouble and thumped a couple of their players and passed it ok. Against a decent team in arsenal he was blown off park.

we have taken our wide forward cover and as he is busy and willing we have changed our formation to get him in as no midfielder is giving us that industry.

basically we are trying to find some.way to get our "mojo"

imo the difference between us and city is one player, David Silva.

Agree with this, but it's the two Silva's that are the difference. We set up most times with 3 work horses in midfield, city set up with fernadino to break up play then both Silva's who can join the attack and control midfield.

We look much better with shaqiri playing in the midfield, maybe keita can become that missing player, but klopp then has to trust that those two plus whoever plays DM is good enough to keep the 4 3 3 rather than switching it round.
