Shadow of his former self when working under NC. Been misfiring for sometime. Hopefully the club will appoint a leader with vision and direction, because there is nobody in the boardroom with any at present.

Great news.

Not fussed about Krueger. First of all, I think it's weird that anyone blames him that much for stuff anyway. He's not involved in the footballing side of things. TBF, I'm not sure exactly what he does do and I suspect that he's not that great at whatever it is or I would know. The one thing I know he does is serve as the team's spokesman in some capacity. Which means he has to trot out some lies to cover bad decisions. I don't blame him for that. He's not a particularly good liar but that doesn't impact what happens on the pitch. At worst he's just sort of surplus, he's not the one making the bad transfers.

When you sack a guy, someone has to take over his duties. And help find his replacement. It does make sense to have Krueger involved in that. If we're starting the 2019 season with Krueger still in charge of footballing operations then I'll be pissed. But it sounds like Krueger is just acting in a temporary capacity and the club has no intent nor does Krueger have any desire to be permanent football operations guy.

The mystery to me is why Spuds binned him off.

From memory I think he resigned rather than fired. There was some big thing about his notice period iirc.

Maybe he felt he had achieved all he could there, sounds like he basically did similar to here where he set up the recruitment department and when it's running smoothly he finds a new project. Leipzig is a great opportunity for someone like him so maybe it was just that he thought it was a better option so resigned

Who do you guys think Wilson had to go to? Do you think he just said players to get and then they signed them? Because that isn't how it worked.

Anyone might think he also had seen the writing on the wall...

Wilson as head of recruitment (Les's former job title) surely bears a huge responsibility on who comes in, no? Recruitment has been poor since he took over.
